The Jaryuu Clan are a horde of dragon-like creatures created through genetic engineering and one of the four main antagonist factions of GoGo Sentai Boukengers.
History[]
The Jaryuu Clan was founded 200 years prior to the present day by Ryuuwon, an adventurer and alchemist who used Lemuria's sciences and lost technology to mutate himself into a dragon-like creature after developing a resentment against mankind. Ryuuwon created the Jaryuu race from his blood, splicing the genes of dinosaurs and several other creatures together to engineer a race of artificial dragons, which he hoped would supplant humanity as the dominant species on Earth.
To this end, the Jaryuu Clan sought out the Precious, leading them to be classified as a "Negative Syndicate" by the SGS for their malicious goals revolving around the Precious. They first encountered the Boukengers not long after the Gordom Civilization resurfaced, as they too sought out the relics left behind by the Gordom Civilization, and would go on to clash with the Boukengers on numerous occasions. The Jaryuu Clan would also partner with other Negative Syndicates on several occasions, including forming an "Another Species" alliance with the Questers to use the Sun of Lemuria to exterminate humanity, but these partnerships typically never lasted long. To strengthen his forces, Ryuuwon began creating "Wicked Dragons" by having groups of Jaryuu Soldiers duel each other to the death, and then bestowing a transformation onto the winner. On one occasion, Ryuuwon sacrificed the majority of his remaining horde (3,000 Jaryuu Soldiers in total) in a duel to the death to bring about the strongest Wicked Dragon, Dagargin.
However, the forces of the Jaryuu Clan would gradually become depleted over time, particularly after Ryuuwon's powers weakened to the point where he could no longer create strong enough Jaryuu Soldiers. In an effort to redouble the Jaryuu Clan's forces, Ryuuwon sought out the Pandora's Box, but was beaten to it by Arch Priest Gajah. Ryuuwon then attempted to infiltrate SGS's Precious Bank in order to steal the Egg of Lemuria, but was defeated by BoukenRed before being killed when the Precious Bank was self-destructed.
Despite Ryuuwon's death, pockets of Jaryuu Soldiers remained and would continue to attempt to steal Precious for the purpose of fulfilling his vision in spite of his demise.
During Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger, a lone Jaryuu Soldier stole the Heart of Hades and used it to resurrect Ryuuwon in the modern day.

Great Evil Dragons[]
Great Evil Dragons are mecha created by Ryuuwon through a combination of genetic engineering and cybernetics. They are dragon-like dinosaurs outfitted with machinery that can be piloted from within. They are typically manned by a unit of Jaryuu Soldiers or even Ryuuwon himself on some occasions. The control room of each Great Evil Dragon comes outfitted with a throne for Ryuuwon to sit on whenever he is traveling in one. Several also come equipped with self-destruct sequences that Ryuuwon can detonate remotely as a last ditch effort to take out an opponent.
Zorads[]
Zorads are aerial combat vehicles created through a similar method as the Great Evil Dragons are. Each resembles a pterodactyl. Their cockpits are big enough for each to be piloted by a single Jaryuu Soldier. They typically fly in formations of three, though they can also attack in massive swarms. They are initially deployed from on the ground, although after the Evil Mechanic Dragon Grand was completed, it was capable of dispensing large swarms of Zorads.
