Jason is a minor character in Smiling Friends and the overarching antagonist of the episode "The Magical Red Jewel (aka Tyler Gets Fired)." He is the eighteen year-old son of Mr. Boss, debuting in the episode "Desmond's Big Day Out"
He is voiced by series' co-creator Zach Hadel, who also voices DJ Spit, Satan, Mip, Gnarly, Mr. Peanut, and Mr. Landlord in the same series.

He was initially a pale pink, kidney-shaped creature with constantly closed eyes, a protruding forehead, and small, bird-like lips. He has blue/purple veins on his neck and no visible limbs. He wore a formal black suit with a yellow tie and a white shirt underneath
Butterfly[]
Following his metamorphosis, his body becomes grub-like, he loses his clothes, and he gains orange, monarch butterfly wings. He now has six diminutive legs and two insectile antennas. His eyes enlarge and are now kept wide open. When he lunges toward the viewer, he is depicted with sharp, off-white teeth and purple gums.
Personality[]
Jason appears to have an infantile, subdued, underdeveloped personality despite being eighteen years of age. He enjoys being breastfed and nurtured, only muttering a soft "yeh" during his feeding session, and is constantly seen sleeping otherwise. After reemerging from his chrysalis, he flies around aimlessly like an ordinary, unthinking butterfly would while releasing pink dust, but eventually rushes towards the camera viciously.
Biography[]
In "Desmond's Big Day Out," after Mr. Boss calls Charlie and Pim into the office, he asks them if they have a problem watching someone eat, considering they caught him preoccupied with Jason, who is visible on his desk. When they tell him to proceed, Mr. Boss starts breastfeeding his son. While Mr. Boss is talking, Jason bites his breast, prompting Mr. Boss to discipline him and delicately tell him not to bite, much to the discomfort of Pim and Charlie.
In "The Magical Red Jewel (aka Tyler Gets Fired)," Mr. Boss enlists Charlie and Allan to babysit his son while he and Pim venture into Spamtopia. During this, Jason enters a chrysalis-like state, which Allan and Charlie believe to be death. However, he is actually undergoing metamorphosis. When Charlie and Allan present the presumed deceased Jason to Mr. Boss, he is briefly distraught but then uses a red amulet to bring him out of the chrysalis and transform him into a butterfly. However, after his transformation, he begins releasing a toxic purple dust into the air that begins to corrode objects in the room and irritate everyone inside, causing suffocation, sensory impairment, and general disorder. At the very end of the episode, Jason rushes towards the camera in a jumpscare-like fashion while shrieking and displaying sharp teeth. What happened afterwards, whether group easily forgave Jason or simply disposed of him after getting out of this situatuion, is unknown.
