Jason Cox is a fictional character and supporting antagonist of the British soap opera EastEnders.
He is portrayed by Peter Moreton.
History[]
Jason Cox is a notorious gangster and loan shark who operated his criminal operations in Walford, a fictional borough in East London, prior to coming to the borough's market town Albert Square in 1992.
Upon arriving in the square, Jason sought out local hardman Grant Mitchell due to the latter borrowing money from him. Jason starts pressuring Grant and his brother Phil to repay their debt to him under the threat of arranging to victimize Grant's wife Sharon Watts in an acid attack unless his payment has been made. Because of this, Jason starts threatening and harassing the Mitchell Brothers until the duo manage to pay him off for Sharon's safety.
