“ | Jason Littleton: Go downstairs. And step in front of the next bus you see. Charles Copper: Hey, wait. Wait just a minute. Jason Littleton: You wait. This is my gig. Unless you're fond of the old guy? Sounds to me like he ripped you off. Don't you want to take it to the limit? See how far we can push him? Cuz if you ain't got the stuff, there's a dozen more like you. All I have to do is spin a dial and take my pick on partners. Charles Copper: No, wait. But... they'll-they'll autopsy him. They'll find the... stuff. Jason Littleton: Not in this town, Mr. Innocent. They don't cut open homeless derelicts. They don't have the money or the manpower. Autopsies are expensive. Unless there's foul play involved, they'll throw him in a box, run it through the crematorium, and forget about him. Charles Copper: Wait. Jason Littleton: Walk in front of the first bus you see. |

Jason Littleton, also known as simply The Thief, is the main antagonist of the Smallville novel "Silence". He was a thief who was a member of the gang that robbed Lé Tresor back in Smallville.
Personality[]
Jason was an extremely dangerous and sadistic man with no respect for others lives. He commanded Willie to kill himself for seemingly no reason apart for his own enjoyment and didn't feel any sorrow or regret after the old man's death. He barely ever listened to his partner and just did what he wanted to do, not caring about the consequences his actions could lead to for both of them.
Biography[]
Past[]
Jason alongside the gang, including Tom Morhaim, robbed Lé Tresor one day and Jason was also found guilty in shooting the security guard, Lee Hinchberger. However, in reality, it had actually been Tom who shot the guard and got away with the crime.
Jason was sentenced to twenty-five years in prison but was let out early because of exemplary behavior and a lawyer getting one of his appeals going through. Once he was let out, he made his way to Smallville to get his revenge on Tom.
Smallville: Silence[]
Jason teamed up with the scientist, Charles "Shaky" Copper, and made an old man, Willie Thorpe, into their own zombie. Jason, wanting to see just how far they could go with their control over them, ordered Willie to step in front of a bus, resulting in the old man's death, despite Shaky's protests.
He later appeared at the Talon where he was reading a novel and thinking about how he was going to get revenge on Tom for betraying him all those years ago. Then, Pete Ross came over to him and asked if he could take some sugar packets which he let him do.
He listened to Pete's conversation with the waitress, Lana, and realized that she was bound to have noticed him and could report him to the police if it ever came to that, so he left the coffee house immediately.
