~ The Nerd, just before he kills Jason Voorhees.

Jason Voorhees is a minor antagonist in Angry Video Game Nerd. His first appearance on the show is in the review for the NES Friday The 13th video game.

After Nerd seemingly killed him, Jason never came back until his review for the Commodore 64 Friday the 13th and A Nightmare on Elm Street games, although he would occasionally be referenced. He is a parody of the actual Jason Voorhees from the Friday The 13th films.

He was portrayed by Mike Matei while in the mask and by James Rolfe himself when he's unmasked.

Appearance[]

Jason resembles that of his Friday The 13th counterpart. He is a tall man wearing grey-ish coveralls. He also wears a hockey mask to cover his face. He noticeably has a buzz-cut, unlike his movie counterpart. He always wields a machete.

Personality[]

Jason comes off as not having much of a personality to speak of. He is brutish and very quick to anger. He is very prone to violence and murder. He is also obsessed with having people play and like his awful NES game.

Biography[]

Jason Voorhees broke into the home of the AVGN, and forced him to record himself playing, and saying nice things about his game. Nerd originally complied, under threat of violence. However, after a few minutes, Nerd snapped and yelled every awful thing he actually thought about the game. This angered Jason greatly, so he attempted to kill Nerd. Nerd was able to gain the upper hand and kill Jason by blowing his head up.

He then reappeared in a flashback in Back to the Future ReRevisited, where the Nerd remarks that Jason should have shot first.

In the Nerd's review of both Friday the 13th and A Nightmare on Elm Street for the Commodore 64, Jason and Freddy return from Hell and their spirits possess the action figures based on their appearances in the NES-licensed games. Towards the end of the episode, the action figures begin to attack the Nerd, but luckily, the Nerd uses papers from a Commodore 64 printer to overpower them. As they wrapped in the papers, the Nerd lights them on fire and throws them off the window.
