Jay Norris is a minor antagonist of the video game Grand Theft Auto V.
He was the founder and CEO of LifeInvader, who had made his own prototype phone, in which a bomb was planted inside by Michael De Santa, leading to Norris' death on live TV.
He is voiced by David Cope.
Biography[]
Past[]
Little is known for sure about Jay Norris' childhood, but what is known is that he started the social network known as LifeInvader, from his parents' home in East Carraway, where he would not only quickly use it to steal private information of billions of people and sell it to governments as well as corporations, but also force enslaved children as young as fourteen years old to build cell phones pre-installed with the app.

~ Lester Crest to Michael De Santa. |
After Michael De Santa sneaks his way inside the LifeInvader offices to plant a bomb shaped as a battery on the orders of Lester Crest, Jay Norris would begin a public speech on live television where he proudly introduced his prototype cell phone. Sooner or later, Michael uses his own phone to call Jay, and his phone explodes right next to his face to immediately kill him in front of a horrified crowd before the footage is cut off.
Afterwards, Michael calls Lester who reveals that he's earning a lot of money in the stock market due to Norris' death. Despite this, LifeInvader's stock market value crashed, and never recovered.
GTA Online[]
Jay Norris himself never appears again, though he's posthumously mentioned five years after his death during the content update "After Hours", where the LiveInvader offices have had an increase in security due to the "incident" of his death.
