Jealousia (In Korean: 젤로시아), also known as Lord Black Mirror (In Korean: 블랙 미러), is the main antagonist of the first series of the South Korean anime-influenced tv show Turning Mecard.
She is voiced by Bae Jeong-mi.
Biography[]
Jealousia maker her first debut in the episode of "미스터 K, 돌아오다!" (also known as "The Return of Mr. K!" in the English title), she appears in the episode's ending credits when she comes out of a Black Mirror's mirror portal leading to Triforce.
Later in the upcoming episodes, she brainwashes tamers and mechanimals to make them her servants, the first one was Van Dine, whom she thought that he was a "stupid boy" and battling him to see his his skills. Unfortunately, Van Dine ends up losing the battle and ultimately is brainwashed by her. At the same time, Jason and Ryan were watching over Jealousia and Van Dine's battle, and when they went back to where they were, unfortunately, they were quietly watched over by Jealousia.
Later during the series, she also temporarily brainwashed Isobel and Ryan (though she ultimately failed to do it on Jason). During the final battle, she showed her true self to be Lord Black Mirror, an air-looking dangerous specie that tried to destroy the world.
Personality[]
Jealousia's personality is shown to be very cold, ruthless, and sadistic as she shows no mercy to anyone interferes with her, she is very cruel to her servants and mistreats as well, especially to Van Dine. For this information, she even makes her mechanimals to sacrifice for her to either use them for her own evil plans or just punish them for what they have done to her. Jealousia also hates it when the people who she tries to brainwash are refusing to be on her side.
Physical Appearance[]
Jealousia is a young demonic woman who has long light purple hair with dark purple stripes. Her suit is a demonic-looking maroon dress with a collar that's colored white and small yellow circles on her shoulders that have smaller white circles inside it.
Relationships[]
Jason[]
Jason is Jealousia's archenemy, especially because Jealousia attempted to endanger his friends and destroy the world, and as archenemies, they never had a good relationship. Although he thought that they could be friends when he first saw her battling Van Dine, when he figured out that she brainwashed his friends, he got very enraged at her and did everything he could to bring them back and stop her. And when Jealousia attempted to brainwash Jason, she insulted him that his father Mr. K, also bowed down to her, making Jason enraged enough to set himself free from her.
Isobel and Ryan[]
Isobel and Ryan were two of the three victims of Jealousia who temporarily got brainwashed by her. Preceding that, Jealousia was one of their most dangerous enemies since their main goal was to stop Black Mirror. However, after they got brainwashed, as for Isobel, she betrayed her own father to be one of Jealousia's servants. During the whole time before she got de-brainwashed, she and her mechanimals obeyed Lady Jealousia and often helped her during battle. Even after Jealousia was "killed", Isobel and Ryan still used the mechanimals to do what they were "supposed to do". However, all of that changed as they became de-brainwashed during the forty-seventh episode as Lord Black Mirror did so as he said that they are no longer needed. And during the movie "Turning Mecard W: Revival of Black Mirror", they both fought alongside Jason and all their other friends to stop Black Mirror.
Powers & Abilities[]
- Mechanimal Battling Skills. When having a mechanimal battle, Jealousia has highly advanced battling skills and is hard to beat.
- Brainwashing. She has the power to brainwash mechanimals and tamers. For mechanimals, they just automatically be brainwashed by her when she tames them with her own hands. For tamers, she does it by staring creepily into their eyes and when they are brainwashed, their eyes will turn bright red and become her servant.
- Shapeshifting. Jealousia has the ability to transform into her true form as Lord Black Mirror.
- Lightning Bolt Projection. She has the power to shoot lightning from her hands, she often uses it on her servants to either brainwash them or to punish them.
