Jean-Pierre is the main antagonist of the Junji Ito manga House of Puppets, also known as Marionette Mansion in the Junji Ito Kyofu Manga Collection.

He is a sentient magician puppet, once belonging to the Yukihiko, Haruhiko's older brother. However, after Yukihiko and his sister lives with a cousin following the death of his father, he takes Jean-Pierre with him, and Jean-Pierre had managed to take full control of him, as well as the remaining family members in the complex. The house then had a series of specially cut holes in the ceiling for a group of puppetmasters to control everyone he had possessed, and attempts to take in any guests that visit the household. Jean-Pierre also makes use of a set of three ballerina puppets which he controls in order to entice guests to stay at the household.

Biography[]

Jean-Pierre is first seen as one of hundreds of puppets that Harukiro's family owns.

Appearance[]

The lead puppet takes on the appearance of a wooden magician puppet with long pointed strands of straw protruding from its head. The puppet is also seen wearing what appears to be a tunic with a black-and-white split, and is suspended by thin piano strings.

The ballerina puppets, inferred to once be people, appear as a set of three human-sized wooden marionettes dressed up as ballet dancers. Each of the three puppets are shown wearing an extravagant dress.

The puppeteers that Jean Pierre uses to control the other puppets appear as tall, pale, blind-eyed men with typical puppeteer wear.
