Jeong Mi-hee (Korean: 정미희) is a supporting antagonist in the South Korean drama series The Glory. She is an alcoholic that is obsessed with money, that sabotages her daughter's life on many occasions just for more profit.

She is portrayed by Park Ji-a.

Biography[]

When Mi-hee got pregnant, she considered an abortion, but ended up not doing it.

When her daughter, Moon Dong-eun, was severely bullied in high-school, Dong-eun tried to drop out, listing the fact that she was being bullied as the reason. However, Hong Young-ae, the mother of one of Dong-eun's bullies, Park Yeon-jin, gave Mi-hee a lot of money to forcibly change the drop-out reason on her daughter's form to "maladjustment". Mi-hee agreed without hesitation, and also stopped paying for Dong-eun's room and board, leaving her daughter essentially homeless without supporting her.

Years later, after a grown up Dong-eun re-introduced herself into the lives of Yeon-jin and the other former bullies, Yeon-jin reached out to Mi-hee, and gave Dong-eun's mother more money to once again ruin her daughter's life, this time to get her fired from the school she was working at.

Mi-hee was able to do this, and after an angry Dong-eun confronted Mi-hee, asking how she could do this, Mi-hee responded by telling her daughter how much money she made by ruining her life, showing no remorse.

After an argument between them, Mi-hee tried to kill both of them by overturning a mini-stove to set the apartment aflame. Dong-eun managed to put the fire out and save them both, but brought her mom to a psych-ward. Mi-hee screams as she is dragged off, as Dong-eun leaves her mom for the last time, knowing that they will never meet again.
