Jeongmu Choi is a supporting antagonist in Weak Hero. He was a psychopathic bully from Do-Eui Middle School who was responsible for ruining Gerard Jin's life and is currently the leader of a gang of dropout students.
Appearance[]
Jeongmu is a young man brown skin and dark mushroom-shaped hair. In the present, he is muscular and wears a black tank top.
Biography[]
| “ | Jeongmu didn't have any particular talents. Ever since he was little, he envied those with talents deep down inside. He was always angry for no reason. He filled the emptiness by destroying others hard work. It was how he made himself feel better. He destroyed the snowmen other people worked hard to build. He strangled and choked people who were good at singing. If someone was good at soccer he destroyed their ball. He figured if he can't climb to where they were and can't do what they do himself anyway, he might as well bring them down. When he completely destroyed others people's works and brought them all down to his level he felt this indestructible pleasure. Without realizing it, he even became addicted to filling up his sense of self-esteem. It was impossible for him to realize that such addiction he has stemmed from a childish envy because he was physically mature but inside, he was still just an infant. | „ |

Jeongmu was a student at Do-Eui middle school and Gerard's classmate. Being the class's bully, Jeongmu was determined to uphold his alpha status. He eventually decided to target Gerard due to his height combined with his passive nature in hopes of looking strong for beating a tall person. He repeatedly bullied Gerard who didn't fight back much until Jeongmu edited the lyrics for his song. This led Gerard to beat up and assert his dominance over Jeongmu. Humiliated by this, Jeongmu left school and would plan out his revenge against Gerard.
Jeongmu found a group of thus and lied to them that he was a member of the Union in hopes they would beat him up. This failed as Gerard easily beat the thugs and Jeongmu up. This was a distraction, however as Jeongmu took the opportunity to burn down Gerard's house. This cause Gerard to rush back to his house and attempt to collect his instruments leading him to become scarred and hospitalized. Jeongmu was sent to a detention center for a year.
After being released, he started a gang for dropout students and started a relationship with Lala Lee.
Personality[]
As described above, Jeongmu developed a habit of bullying due to a childish addiction. He is a very egotistical and sadistic bully, showing no limits to his cruel actions. His obsession with being the lead delinquent leads him to target others to make himself look strong and acting tough. He is willing to lie about beating up Wolf Keum for status. He is not above hitting women and is somewhat of a pervert, seen by how he wants to hire girls for his gang tries flirt on women while being in a relationship. Jeongmu is seeming unaware that his actions are wrong. He blames his life's failures on Gerard when all he did was fight back against him for putting up with his harrassment. He feels no remorse for burning down Gerard's house and damaging him both physically and emotionally. Instead, he demands that he has the right to see Gerard's scar. It is worth mentioning as well that Jeongmu is a huge coward. He only fights if he knows he can win and will trick others into fighting for him. He will easily abandon his friends to save his own skin.
