Jeremy Jamm is one of the two main antagonists of Parks and Recreation (alongside Tammy 2). He is Leslie Knope's nemesis and fellow Pawnee Indiana City Council member, dedicated to using his position to obstruct her agenda and illegally enrich himself.
He was portrayed by Jon Glaser, who also portrayed Jackson Wright in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
Personality[]
Jamm is arrogant, self-absorbed, and amoral; his only real motivation is to enrich himself by any means necessary. He also considers himself a ladies man, and propositions and harasses virtually every woman he meets, oblivious to the fact that women in general dislike and try to ignore him.

Backstory[]
Jamm is a local orthodontist in Pawnee, Indiana and an alumnus of Purdue University. He is known as a staple of the community since he opened the doors of Jamm Orthodontia in 1999. He is also a member of the Pawnee City Council, and constantly shoots down any proposal by Leslie Knope and goes out of his way to annoy her.
Jamm often uses his signature phrase, "you just got Jammed", when he perceives (usually incorrectly) that he has one-upped his opponent. His motives are usually corrupt, in that he offers many political favors relating to helping his career as an orthodontist.
He is a Japanophile, although he often gets Japan, China, and Korea confused. He likes teppanyaki, karaoke, Lucy Liu, gongs, kimonos, samurais, and edamame, which he calls "tokyo beans".
Parks and Recreation[]
As soon as Leslie is elected to City Council, Jamm makes sure to let her know he doesn't like her. He continually uses her private office bathroom and expresses his annoyance at the least senior city council member having the best office. Jamm argues with Leslie regarding her proposals, telling her he will only vote yes on her bill to extend the community pool hours if she gives him her office.
In "Emergency Response", it's revealed that it Jamm arranged for the Indiana Department of Emergency Preparedness to give Leslie an extremely hard city emergency response review in order to delay her gala, which was organized in an attempt to raise $50,000 to build Pawnee Commons on Lot 48. Instead, Jamm wants to sell the lot to Paunch Burger. Leslie manages to foil his plans, however.
Jamm is a driving force behind the ultimately successful campaign to recall Leslie from city council, conspiring with the mega corporation Sweetums, whose executives want her gone because of her repeated proposals to sanction and tax the sugar industry; in return for his help, Sweeetums pays him a hefty sum.
In Season 7, Jamm begins dating Ron Swanson's ex-wife Tammy, who quickly turns him into her spineless puppet. Leslie and Ron take pity on him and put him through an intense deprogramming.
In the series finale, a flashforward shows Jamm owning a Benihana-style Japanese restaurant.
