	~ Jericho to Ban in the Vaizel Fight Festival.

Jericho is a Holy Knight and a major character in the anime/manga series The Seven Deadly Sins. She, along with the other Holy Knights, was lied to and manipulated by Lord Hendrickson into hunting down the Seven Deadly Sins, though she redeemed herself after the lie and Hendrickson's possession by the demon Fraudrin were revealed. However, she once again becomes an antagonist in the sequel series Four Knights of the Apocalypse, where she serves Arthur.

She is voiced by Marina Inoue in Japanese and Erica Lindbeck (who also voiced the Black Cat in Marvel's Spider-Man) in English.

Appearance[]

Jericho is a human female. She is 160 cm (5'3") tall in 7DS. Her eyes are amber colored, and her hair is a mixture of lavender and silver.

Her eyes become black after drinking the blood of a red demon].

Biography[]

When Jericho was young, she dreamed of becoming a Holy Knight like her brother Gustaf, but he expressed his doubts to Jericho, resulting in the two arguing. Over the years, Jericho became a Holy Knight and was positioned to guard Baste Dungeon, where it held one of the Seven Deadly Sins' members, Ban.

Baste Dungeon arc[]

Soon after she is positioned in Baste Dungeon, Ban hears from the guards that Meliodas is alive and escapes from his cell. Jericho soon confronts Ban and lashes out at him, only to discover that she'd only trimmed his hair. Ban laughs at her dressing as a man, and soon defeats Jericho and humiliates her by stripping her of her armor. Later, after Jeicho had put on a new set of clothes, she and the rest of the dungeon guards appeared outside the prison and watched their superior, Golgius, demonstrate an incantation orb he casts upon Baste Dungeons that put them under a spell of sealing any powerful beings there, such as Meliodas and Diane, who recently arrived at the prison to save Ban. Once the spell was activated, the Baste Dungeons were soon destroyed, and the seal was set free, astonishing Jericho and the rest of the knights.

Vaizel Fight Festival arc[]

Soon after the incident, Jericho was brought along with Twigo by Gulia and Helbram before Lord Hendrickson, who offered them both to drink the blood of a deceased red demon to enhance their abilities. She took the opportunity, because she wants to become a strong holy knight like her brother. When Twigo drank the blood, it resulted in his exploding due to his incompatibility. Jericho, on the other hand, survived and gained new powers.

Later, she is dispatched to Vaizel alongside Gulia, with Marmas leading them in order to retrieve Meliodas's broken sword, to capture Princess Elizabeth, and, as a secondary objective, to vanquish the seven deadly sins that are present there. Jericho also wants to get revenge on Ban for humiliating her at Baste Dungeon. First, Gulia launches an attack by firing explosive balls at the city while the group rides a flying Sky Manta. Meliodas uses Full Counter to successfully defend the Vaizel tournament area and the people there as the city is being pummeled. Then Jericho attacks Ban, first by unsuccessfully hurling a stone at him and then by successfully stabbing him with her long sword. She later explains that she passed herself off as a man because she was weak and wanted to make herself look stronger. But that is no longer necessary. Following the fight, Ban and Meliodas pass out, allowing Jericho and Gulia to attack King simultaneously. He easily fends off the attacks. Then, after they stand back up, King attacks them with Sunflower but is interrupted by an attack from Helbram, who has served as the tournament's judge the entire time. Later, Ban discovers that Griamore used his ability to capture Elizabeth. He then takes Veronia, Elizabeth's sister, and places his finger on her neck while holding her hostage. Jericho notices the situation and slashes Ban from behind, forcing him to release Veronica. Later, Meliodas escapes from the Goddess Amber, the tool Veronica used to capture him. He seems like a different person, half covered in black colored matter. He leaps towards Gulia and effortlessly cuts off her arm while taking the broken sword. He then attacks Gulia and Jericho, despite Ban's vain attempts to save them. After Helbram defeats Meliodas, Helbram flees with Jericho and Gulia along with the broken sword, while Diane tries to attack him with her recently found sacred treasure.

Armor Giant arc[]

When Jericho gets back to the Kingdom of Liones, she overhears a knight telling Helbram about an Armored Giant sighting in Ordan. Jericho had doubts after learning that Helbram had dispatched Dawn Roar to murder him, and she decides to tail the group of holy knights. She witnesses the fight between Dawn Roar, the Seven Deadly Sins, and the Armoured Giant, and after Dawn Roar leave with the Armoured Giant's head given to them by Gowther, she eavesdrops on their conversation.

Kingdom Infiltration arc[]

Jericho was training with Gulia one day when Gulia abruptly stopped the workout because she felt uneasiness from Jericho. Jericho reveals to her that she has followed Dawn Roar on their mission. She explains to her about what she witnessed and told her that she sensed from the Armoured Giant the power of a holy knight and a demon, which disturbed her greatly.

Powers and Abilities[]

Jericho possessed average abilities, despite her quickness, and was only an apprentice Holy Knight. Because of the frustration she had about her skills, which were emphasized after her battle with Ban, she drank the red demon's blood that Lord Hendrickson offered her and became much more skilled over night. She was able to knock out Ban, even though her last fight with him was a terrible loss. In addition to that, the cuts that Ban got from her mysteriously healed slower than usual.

After she turned into a demon hybrid and was reverted to normal by Ban, she lost all her powers. She later regained her power after her brother died, who was dear to her.

Powers[]

Ice Fang - This power allows Jericho to form and manipulate ice. This is a genetically given power that she and her brother have. After the 16-year time skip, it seemed that she was much more skilled with this power, and was able to lower her surrounding temperature and freeze the Demon Clans' Purgatory Fire.

Demon Blood - After drinking the red demons' blood, her abilities increased. She was much faster and much more impulsive. She also had a mysterious ability that slowed regeneration.

Abilities[]

Swordsmanship - She's a skilled swordsman. She's able to move extremely fast and was able to slash her opponent several times in an instant.

Shinsoku no Jussen - This ability means Godspeed Cross slash in Japanese. Jericho uses this power to swiftly slash her opponent with her long sword in a succession of attacks. She couldn't use this ability again after she turned into a demon hybrid.

Shinsoku no Dankotsu - This ability means Godspeed Bone Crusher in Japanese. Because Jericho was interrupted while using this power, we were never able to see it in action. We do see this ability in the mobile game The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross, where she jumps up into the air and performs a series of slashes with her long sword. She couldn't use this ability again after she turned into a demon hybrid.

Trivia[]

Jericho weighs 50 kg (110 lbs).
Jericho was born on September 6, being 18 years old (34 years old in Four Knights of the Apocalypse, later 36).
When she was younger, Jericho would go around asking men to marry her, with one of these men being Ban.
Jericho hates bugs, but loves strawberries.
Jericho is in love with Lancelot, having loved him since he was a boy.
