Jessa Rinaldi is a minor antagonist of Chicago Med. She is a sale's representative who attempted to kill Will Halstead in Season 8 episode, "How Do You Begin to Count The Losses".
She is played by Angela Wong Carbone.
Biography[]
Jessa is introduced as a sale's representative for Vasik Labs.
She strikes up a friendship with Dr. Will Halstead, when her job's product was unveiled. However, Will started to have misgivings with her, specifically the fact that she was quick to cast suspicion on some of the labs and the product. Nevertheless, it seems she and Will may have had an interest in each other but it wasn't fully explored.
Jessa turned heel in "Lying Doesn't Protect You from the Truth", where it is revealed she took part in the fraud and embezzlement of funds. Jessa was arrested at a function by the feds, along with most of the Vasik staff. She blamed Will who tried to deny any part in before it is revealed that Sharon Goodwin was responsible for the reporting to the FBI after her own suspicions.
During "How Do You Begin to Count The Losses", she is outside the courthouse with her lawyer before Police officers led by Kim Burgess arrive on the scene and arrest her. Kim lists the charges against her, comprising of arson and the attempted murder of Will Halstead who was walking up with Goodwin and their lawyer. The shocked trio hear Kim reveal to her lawyer that Jessa's credit card receipts indicate that she went to the hardware store and purchased fire accelerant and surveillance of her entering and leaving Will's building when the fire occurred. Jessa shared a look with a distraught Will and was silently guilty for her actions, before being hauled off.
