What the hell? You're that courier Benny wasted in Goodsprings. You're supposed to be dead.
~ Jessup upon noticing The Courier.

Jessup is a minor antagonist in the 2010 game Fallout New Vegas, He is a high ranking member of the Great Khans tribe who assisted Benny in getting the platinum chip of The Courier in exchange for payment. However Benny double crossed him and his squad and left them to die in Boulder City without pay. The Courier can then either aid Jessup by convincing the NCR to let them go after they free the hostages or kill Jessup and free the NCR hostages without negotiation.

He was voiced by Liam O'Brien.

Biography[]

Before the events of Fallout New Vegas, Jessup worked with the head of the chairmen Benny to steal a highly valuable 'Platinum Chip' from one of six couriers. Benny and Jessup then knocked out and tied up the courier who was carrying the chip and then Benny took out his gun and shot the courier in the head twice then promptly buried the courier at the graveyard in Goodsprings.

Jessup also looked after a deeply traumatized Khan member named 'Chance' due to him witnessing the bitter springs massacre which involved many innocents getting killed by NCR snipers which caused Chance to resort to chem abuse in order to cope. Unfortunately Chance would eventually die from overdosing himself so Jessup who was stricken with grief buried his body near Goodsprings with his knife too before going to meet up with Benny at the graveyard.

Unfortunately for them after getting the platinum chip they headed back to Vegas through Novac to keep a low profile. However they would be ambushed by NCR soldiers which would force them to retreat into a destroyed city named 'Boulder City' in order to come up with an escape plan. They decided to stop the NCR from making an attack by capturing two NCR privates named Gilbert and Ackerman while threatening to kill them if the NCR makes a move. However Benny cowardly decided to ditch them during the night time to fend for themselves without paying them for their assistance.

Not long after The Courier themselves would show up and offer the NCR the chance to defuse the situation. The Courier then enters the building Jessup is in and Jessup is shocked that they are still alive since "Benny wasted them back in Goodsprings". The Courier then either offers Jessup a deal that if he lets the NCR hostages go unharmed then Lieutenant Monroe will allow him and his men to go free or The Courier can kill Jessup and his men and then free the NCR hostages. If The Courier decides to negotiate with Jessup then he will give him Benny's lighter and asks The Courier to "shove it up his ass when he finds him".
