The Jester is the titular main antagonist of the horror/thriller analogy short films of the same name and the 2023 movie.
He is an enigmatic and malevolent being who enjoys inducing suffering to individuals he comes across who don't appreciate his own tricks or break the rules of Halloween.
In all appearances, he is portrayed by Michael Sheffield.

Appearance[]
The Jester wears a Orange-themed suit, with a black under sleeved shirt, wears a black hat and gloves, He has a fixated textured grin with spaded color diamonds, the top of his body is pale and fused along with his grin. His pupils are vividly never shown and communicates through body languages.
Biography[]
The Jester meeting Nate and Stephanie.
Earlier that night, The Jester is shown again entertaining other costume wearing locals they praise and applaud him and he lets them leave peacefully for it. Just as Jester is about to leave a guy named Nate and his girlfriend Stephanie look at him; Stephanie is very intrigued by his Mysterious vibe. Nate tries to warn her not to go to Jester but she ignores him, Jester then amuses her more by doing tricks causing her boyfriend to get a little unsure and angry. He nudges Stephanie for them both to go with Jester a little surprised but he does a trick for him, possibly hoping he likes it. Nate isn't really amused and tries to persuade his girlfriend and himself to go.
Jester eventually leaves but Stephanie wants him to show more tricks which made Jester come back; Nate gets in front of Stephanie making Jester pull out a knife and string in retaliation. Jester decides to give Nate one final chance to like this trick he magically wraps the string around his legs and arms then Jester frees him, Jester offers him his hand but Nate smacks it away in frustration.
Nate grabs his girlfriend Stephanie wanting her and the former to leave but Jester grabs Nate's arm and forcefully holds him close; Nate retaliates by pushing him and grabbing his coat but Jester magically disappears. Jester uses his cane and trips him with Stephanie giving Jester his coat back in return he lets her be his assistant. They capture Nate and Jester gives Stephanie a dagger so she can do a trick to throw it at her boyfriend's head. Nate pleads with Stephanie to not do it but she doesn't listen and strikes him with Jester applauding her.
The Jester begins to walk away, but as he does so we can see that Nate is completely fine. It is revealed that it was a hallucination and that Stephanie never threw the knife, or even put on the mask to begin with. Stephanie runs up to Nate with no idea of what he just witnessed, a scared and confused Nate scrambles away from her, causing an off-screen chase to pursue. It cuts to a little girl dressed as an unicorn, siting on a porch swing outside. The Jester sees the girl's glum mood and preforms tricks to cheer her up, ending with his signature "Candy Behind the Ear" trick. She explains to the Jester that she can't go trick-or-treating tonight due to nobody going with her, in which he offers to go trick-or-treating with her via various gestures. She agrees and they begin their journey.
They first stop at a house with a bucket full of candy and a sign which read "Please take one". The Jester slips the sign into his jacket pocket and dumps the entirety of the bucket into the girl's bag. As they walk away an older boy dressed as a skeleton tells her to give him all her candy, the Jester retaliates by pulling a tarantula out from behind his ear, scaring him off. They next place they visit is a haunted house, where an adult jumps out at the girl and scares her, then giving her candy. They make one final stop at a house with no lights on, the girl was adamant about not visiting this one, but the Jester convinced her. She knocks, a scruff voice yelling for her to go away. The Jester knocks once more, a middle aged man opening the door.
The Jester gestures to the little girl, signaling for the man to give her candy. He says he doesn't have any and attempts to slam the door, but the Jester catches it with his arm. Here, the Jester shows superhuman strength, as the man attempts to slam the door with all his might, but the Jester's singular hand held it open without falter. The man grabs a bat and warns the Jester to leave one last time, the Jester taking a fencing position and tapped his cane on the bat. The man swings, but the Jester dodges and holds the bat to the ground using his can, easily over-powering the man. The man pulls on the bat as hard as he can, and the Jester releases it, the bat hitting the man in the nose. The Jester puts a silver mask on the man, filling a bowl of candy up and placing it on the man's lap.
The Jester turns around to find that the little girl ran off, leaving her bag of candy. He puts the 'Please take one' sign from before into the bowl and leaves as two kids run up and grab some candy from the man. Another cut and it shows a guy dressed as a ghost looking both ways across a street, the Jester appears next to him and the ghost says "Boo." The Jester jumps back, pretending to be scared. The ghost walk across the street and says "Boo." to a man dressed in office clothing and we see that it is the man from Chapter 1, the Jester appears in front of the man and leans on a light post.
He approaches him and Jester halts him, a little nervous the man says hello in an unsure manner as Jester lowers his top hat by greeting him. Jester gets close and does a trick by pulling candy from the man's ear, the man replies, "nice very good" and says "thank you have a nice night". Just as he was about to leave however, Jester pulls out an array of Cards from his hands. Jester then covers his eyes wanting to show the man another trick by guessing his card; the man reluctantly chooses the card and Jester initially wanted him to shuffle them but eventually he decides to do it himself.
After shuffling the cards, Jester lets the man pull one and it turns out the trick was accurate much to Jester's excitement. However, the man didn't applaud nor did he seem interested and he says "and that's all" in a slow and undertone voice. Jester slowly looks up with tension and anger as he snatches the card from the man and takes out a knife; the man watches and wonders if he is simply going to stab him but Jester instead cuts his arm and rubs the card on the blood. He then magically flicks the man's chest as he finds the card in his chest pocket. The man now freaked out backs up as Jester casually bows and he tries to run only to find Jester behind him, he then attempts to run again only to trip abruptly due to Jester's power.
Then out of nowhere, Jester makes a car come using his hands, while it may have looked like an average person hit him, it was Jester in disguise. The man now injured and limping tries again to run only for Jester to be casually waiting around twirling handcuffs. The man trips again this time with his shoe laces tied and the handcuffs around his arms. He then angrily tries to free himself but it's no use. Jester then pulls out a mask and puts it on the man's face and decides to do one last trick, only this time the man is the act. Jester brings out a black sheet and throws it over the man, and lifts it fast and what was once a man is now gone as Jester made him disappear.
Jester then casually walks to two other trick or treaters who are wearing Costumes, he shows them a card trick which makes them applaud and clap for Jesters trick which satisfies Jester as he walks away from them.
