Jet Bean is one of two secondary antagonists (alongside Cappuccino) of the 2009 computer-animated action film Killer Bean Forever.
He is an Asian Assassin hired by the Shadow Agency to terminate Killer Bean. He is also revealed to return in the upcoming Killer Bean video game, possibly as one of main antagonists, and also as a playable character (confirmed by Jeff Lew).
He is voiced by Jeff Lew, the creator of the series.
Appearance[]
Like every other character, Jet Bean is an anthropomorphic bean. Rather than being brown, however, his body is overall a lighter color than the rest of the characters. He is seen with hair that turns into a pigtail of sorts. He also wears a black vest with gold buttons on it, and silver bracelets around his arms, which are completely bulletproof.
Biography[]
Jet Bean first appears early on in the movie, eating food in a restaurant. While he is eating, he receives a call from his employers, the Shadow Agency, saying that he's hired for a mission. He is ordered to go to Beantown, located across the ocean. Just before he leaves the restaurant, the owner prevents him some leaving by saying he needs to pay the bill, which he hasn’t paid in three months. Jet Bean refuses, which urges the chef to come out and attempt to kill him. Jet Bean uses his strength to kick the chef down, throw the cleaver and pin the bill to the wall, and says that he'll pay when he returns, but, out of fear, the owner says that he doesn't have to pay.
Later in the movie, Jet Bean finally arrives at Beantown, and his employers tell him off who he needs to assassinate, Killer Bean himself, who Jet Bean says that he's "always wanted to meet him". He arrives at a scene Killer Bean made in a warehouse, owned by the mob boss Cappuccino. Jet Bean asked the investigators where Killer Bean is, and is told that he was arrested. One officer tries to tell him to go away (in a rather racist manner), angering Jet Bean, leading him to assault the policeman. He is arrested because of this.
When he is taken to the police station, he breaks free and kills all of the police the police officers in seconds. He finds Killer Bean's guns, and then Killer Bean himself, in a cell. To fight their fight fair, he gives Killer Bean his guns back. Killer Bean asks why the Shadow Agency wants him dead. Jet Bean simply replies that he doesn't ask their intentions. Killer Bean tries to persuade him, but Jet Bean replies by saying that Killer Bean has been brainwashed by Vagan, and says no Shadow Bean can stop the Agency. Killer Bean agrees and says "I'm no Shadow Bean"., and their fight begins.
Killer Bean tries using his guns, but they prove ineffective. Killer Bean has to resort to beating him with his fists. Jet Bean compliments Killer Bean's attempt, just before giving him the killing blow. Killer Bean grabs one of his guns, and take a single bullet out. Killer Bean then proceeds to throw the bullet in the air, distracting Jet Bean while shooting at him. At just the right moment, Killer Bean shoots the midair bullet, causing it to fire out of its shell, and hitting Jet Bean in the stomach. while Killer bean finishes Jet Bean, the latter with his last breath, then warns to Killer Bean that The Shadow Agency's pursuit of Bean is not over, he then fatally collapse having succumbed to his wounds.
In a video on the official Killer Bean YouTube Channel, titled “Killer Bean vs Jet Bean - Extended Ultra Edition”, (which is the fight between the two with better visuals,) a new, unknown Shadow Bean appears phasing through the wall after the fight between the two has ended. He notices the dead body of Jet Bean. Later, Jet Bean's corpse in seen on a machine in an unknown location, presumably the Shadow Agency headquarters. His eyes then open, signifying that he was revived by the Agency. It is unknown if he would’ve had any significance in the Killer Bean series before its cancellation, but it was strongly implied.
However, he is confirmed to return in the upcoming Killer Bean video game, possibly as a major villain, and confirmed as a playable character.
