Jewel Man is a Robot Master and a minor antagonist in Mega Man 9. Bearing the serial number DLN-069, he worked in a diamond mine, where he cut and polished rocks with dexterity. Jewel Man wields the Jewel Satellite, whose wielder can summon jewels as a shield.
Personality[]
Not much is known about Jewel Man's but from what we see, he's one who likes attention and collecting shiny things. He also likes showing off his collection to others as he did with Roll at the end credits of the game.
Biography[]
Jewel Man, his sister Splash Woman, and their brothers were scheduled to be scrapped as their period of use had expired. Dr. Wily appeared concerned about their plight and offered to help them. However, it was just a lure so he could steal them and bend them to his will. Mega Man fought Jewel Man in the mines, defeating him in combat.
Following Wily's defeat, Jewel Man and his siblings were rebuilt by Dr. Light. The ending of the game shows Jewel Man presenting a large gem to Roll who she's impressed by.
Stage[]
The stage that Jewel Man makes his lair in consists of a diamond mine. Mettaur Betae, Spin Cannons, and earth-themed robot monsters can be found commonly throughout his stage.
Battle[]
In battle, Jewel Man surrounds his body with his Jewel Satellite's diamonds and runs back and forth around his room. Jumping will cause him to jump, too. Eventually, Jewel Man will fire the jewels that surround his body as projectiles. With good aim, you can fire through his shield, though Mega Man does not have this problem with his own version of the weapon.
Jewel Man's weakness is the Black Hole Bomb, which can destroy his shield on top of damaging him greatly, also preventing him from firing his jewels.

Trivia[]
- Jewel Man was not originally going to be in the game. A similar Robot Master named Diamond Man would have been in the game instead, with his weapon, the Diamond Satellite, likely being very similar to the Jewel Satellite that Jewel Man uses for his own weapon.
