Jimmy's Parents are the main antagonists of the Chick Tract entitled "Unloved".
History[]
The tract begins with our protagonist of the tract, Jimmy, his parents and his older sister, Nancy. Their parents dot on Nancy while Jimmy earns only contempt. It is shown that everything go well in Nancy's life. She is the top student in her class, wins a scholarship upon graduating from her university, being appointed as a partner in a law firm after she wins her first big case, earns an annual six-figure salary, marries a wealthy senator, becomes a mother of wonderful twin daughters and dines with the president of the United States, much to their parents' pride and joy.
However, Jimmy's life was miserable. He loses a fight against a bigger, stronger boy. His team always lose in baseball matches. His parents refuses to attend his graduation, struggling to find an employment and then have to be laid off since the company falls into a bankruptcy, marries a tramp with three children out of genuine love for her and later his stepson is jailed for drug dealing. The final straw for him is when his wife files for a divorce, callously takes all of his money and then elopes with her boyfriend. Jimmy asks for them to help him with his latest predicament. Instead of helping, however, they disown him and even writes him off from their will.
Jimmy later attempts to commit suicide by jumping off a bridge. He stops because a true believer of Jesus prevents him. Jimmy tearfully tells his misery of being unloved and unwanted, not to mention is diagnosed with cancer. The man tells Jimmy that Jesus knows everything that he had gone through because of His absolute love. He narrates all the misery and suffering Jesus went through out of His love for Jimmy. The man kindly advises Jimmy to accept Jesus. Touched, Jimmy complies and for the first time in his life, he is absolutely at peace and joy. Jimmy then dies four months later, and Jesus welcomes him with His open arms into His heaven to enjoy all the honors that are promised to him.
Jimmy's parents presumably will be condemned to the Lake of Fire for eternity by Jesus due to their neglect and abuse towards him. Nancy will share the similar fate as well since she is apathetic towards her younger brother and all the sufferings he has endured. The same possibly goes to Jimmy's former wife as well, given that she betrays Jimmy who genuinely loves her for another man.
