I used to be a real nice guy. Got a problem? You call Jimmy. In a jam? You call Jimmy.
~ Jimmy describing himself.
I was so busy tying up loose ends for my employers, I didn't realize the only one left... was me.
~ Jimmy on being betrayed.

Jimmy is the titular protagonist of the Mafia II DLC packs The Betrayal of Jimmy and Jimmy's Vendetta.

Biography[]

Background[]

Jimmy's backstory is unknown, although he has been involved in a life of crime for a while and doing freelance work as a hired gun. This has earned him a reputation in the criminal world for someone to turn to.

The Betrayal of Jimmy[]

Jimmy begins working for Sal Gravina, the head of the Gravina Crime Family in Empire Bay during the 1950s. He is also involved with Gravina's friend Tam Brodie, the head of the Irish mob in the city. On their orders, he begins to dismantle the criminal rackets run by Eddie Fu and Elroy Tussle, who are both heads of the Triads and the Bombers respectively. After dismantling their criminal empire which allows Gravina and Brodie to gain more power, Jimmy assassinates the pair of them. Gravina decides to "reward" Jimmy for his help by gifting him a luxury car to steal. Jimmy steals the car, but finds himself being chased down by the Empire Bay Police Department and ends up being trapped by a road block on a bridge. He is arrested, and the police discover planted drugs on his person. Jimmy realises that now he has helped Gravina and Brodie wipe out their competition, that only left Jimmy as the loose end. Jimmy is sentenced to 15 years in prison by Gravina and Brodie's boss and benefactor Judge Hillwood, the true mastermind behind the criminals of Empire Bay.

Jimmy's Vendetta[]

Using his connections, Jimmy manages to escape from prison during a prison riot. He returns to Empire Bay and changes out of his prison uniform, and sets upon getting revenge on those that betrayed him. Repeating the previous process, he begins targeting businesses run by Gravina and Brodie and killing off their lieutenants in order to weaken their respected gangs. Having absolved them of any power, Jimmy targets them for assassination. He tracks down Brodie and his remaining gang members at the foundry and wipes them all out. After that, he tracks Gravina and his remaining men at the port and wipes out the gang members, and then murders Gravina who is hiding out at a lighthouse. With the Gravina and Brodie gangs completely gone, Jimmy realises he still has Judge Hillwood to get revenge on for masterminding the whole thing and sending him down. Jimmy arrives at Hillwood's mansion and begins to wipe out his guards. Jimmy corners Hillwood in his mansion and shoots and injures him. Jimmy finishes Hillwood with a gunshot to the head before burning down his mansion and ending his vengeful journey.

Personality[]

Much of Jimmy's personality is unknown. In his monologue, he stated he was once a "really nice guy" and someone you could rely on for a job. That changed when he was betrayed by his boss Sal Gravina, which set him on a bloody campaign of revenge.
