I'm looking for a Torch. Something that will ignite the old world...and open the doors to a New Age.
~ Jintae to the Hero Trials Proctors.

Jintae Yang is a major antagonist of the manhwa, Hero Killer. He is a prominent Villain that was the strongest of his generation's Villains and an infamous mass murderer that boasted a deadly reputation. He led a villainous gang of powerful Villains with his girlfriend Sapphire, Condor his right-hand alongside Daemon and was an archrival/enemy of Hero Killer.

Jintae wanting even more for himself, he established a relationship with Reagen Sinclair, the Mad Elder who backed him in his endeavors in acquiring the ancient shard, The Torch that's said to grant "wishes" to whoever possessed it.

Appearance[]

Jintae was a sharp looking young man with messy, mud-brown hair and bright orange eyes with red iris. He had a muscled physique and wore traditional clothing that consisted of hanboks and taesahye looking shoes that mimic real-world Korea from antiquity in a stylized design.

While notably handsome, his facial expressions were always shown to be somewhat expressionless with a cool demeanor, but this betrayed his smiles of joy as he delighted in killing his victims alongside his sinister personality like most Villains.

Personality[]

Jintae was a man of unquestionable arrogance matching his goals but initially came off as a quiet and old-fashioned with a sharp and quick mind. However, he greatly enjoyed killing others and a hypocrite as he killed his own master with his own hands but sought revenge against Hero Killer and the Nameless but prided himself on his techniques and swordsmanship, which was ironic considering his hypocrisy.

Powers and Abilities[]

Taste the Blade that transcended even Death!
~ Jintae to Engen.

Jintae was one of the strongest Villains in the Age of Heroes and Villains when compared to other villains of the era. He was recognized as being incredibly deadly and had a vicious reputation.

Jintae's fighting abilities was top-class even before becoming a Villain with his late master acknowledging him to be the successor of their swordsmanship. Engen once noted that he saw him as a formidable fighter with one of kind potential and talent, which would've made him a monumental figure in the future and Hero Killer acknowledging too.

Like all Gift users, Jintae could generate the mysterious energy known as EST which allowed the use of his Gift. However, Jintae possessed the rare ability of being able to heal and mend the wounds, illness, etc. of others and himself.

He also possessed the invaluable shard sword, the One Hundred-Sided Blade that can mold its own shape and design based off the wielder's desires, increasing the wielders range and destructive power significantly.

History[]

Early life[]

Jintae was a student of the Master of the Glassblade, a master swordsman and previous wielder of the One Hundred-Sided Blade. Prior to his Villain career, Jintae desired the master’s One Hundred-Sided Blade for himself and started a rebellion against the master after convincing his fellow disciples to fellow him.

The Master, accepting the situation, accepts the disrespectful challenge but asks why Jintae couldn’t wait at least ten more years before his death.

The Master questions Jintae’s claim that only the owner of the blade will descend the mountain, preparing to give Jintae one on his way to hell. However, the Master intentionally let himself be killed by Jintae stating that it was only a matter of time before Jintae would’ve surpassed him. With his death, Jintae will show the world the might of their swordsmanship whether he wanted to or not as he laughs in a pool of blood.
