Jiren's Foe is a minor antagonist from the Dragon Ball Super anime. They are the archenemy of Jiren who destroyed his life twice over.
Description[]
Appearance[]
Nothing is known about the foe's appearance. In Belmod's flashback, they only appeared as a figure concealed by dark fire with evil, red-glowing eyes.
Personality[]
While the foe's personality is mostly unknown, they are obviously evil and ruthless, slaughtering innocent and heroic people without remorse.
Abilities and Powers[]
The foe was undoubtedly powerful, being able to defeat an entire army of trained martial artists on their own.
History[]
Long ago in Universe 11, Jiren lived peacefully on his homeworld until it was attacked by a dangerous villain, who slaughtered his entire family before his eyes. Fortunately, Jiren was rescued by an old master of martial arts, who took him in and trained him. Many others joined in on the training, and they all became Jiren's new family.
At some point, the villain returned and attacked Jiren and his group. Though Jiren was sure they could surely defeat them together, the villain proved to be too powerful and massacred almost every one of them. They attempted to kill Jiren as well, but his teacher stepped in the way and took the blow, which ended his life. Jiren attempted to regroup with others who survived, but they all gave up hope of ever defeating the villain, thus leaving Jiren completely alone and heartbroken.
The experience left Jiren jaded, with the philosophy that only might made right and that feeling for others only made people weak. Despite this, he continued to train himself extensively and eventually joined the Pride Troopers to ensure peace and justice for all. It is unknown if Jiren was able to find and defeat his foe or if they disappeared completely.
