Jiro Awasaka is a minor antagonist of the anime/manga series Jujutsu Kaisen. He is an curse user who loved and enjoyed collecting money as he was wanted until Satoru Gojo was born. He was later recruited by Kenjaku and Uraume in the Shibuya Incident arc to eliminate jujutsu sorcerers, guarding commissioned curtains placed to seal the district off.
He was voiced by Minoru Hirota in Japanese.
Appearance[]
Awasaka is a sixty-one-year-old man of a short height with a plume of black hair atop his mostly bald head, large, black eyes, thick eyebrows, a handlebar mustache, He has a muscular build despite his age, and wears a light grey t-shirt, black shorts, and a yellow haramaki around his waist, where he keep his knife for fighting.
Personality[]
Awasaka is a selfish man who only cares about money, torturing innocent people while thinking he was above the law as long as he was doing what was needed to be done. Awasaka is also a sadistic figure, liking to flay and tear his victims apart as they screamed for mercy. He agreed working for Kenjaku in order to eliminate Gojo. As the Six Eyes, his presence stole all of what he desired from him alongside Ogami who witnessed the same pressure when stumbled his presence when he was just a young boy.
Abilities[]
- Expert Hand to Hand Combat: Awasaka is a strong hand to hand combatant, being able to handle both Yuji Itadori and Megumi Fushiguro, two potent combatants themselves, at the same time. With his cursed technique, the harder his opponents fights, the easier it is for him to withstand them, though this also means softer. He is also good at knowing when to strike his opponents at the right time.
- High Cursed Energy: As an elderly sorcerer, Awasaka possesses high cursed energy levels, enough to perform jujutsu and reinforce his body with cursed energy at the same time for protracted battles. Combined with his cursed technique, reinforcing his body with cursed energy made Awasaka nigh-invulnerable to physical attacks.
- Inverse: Jiro's cursed technique inverts the power of enemy attacks, causing strong attacks to do less damage and weak attacks to do more damage.

- Knife: Awasaka carries a knife in his haramaki sash. He is a proficient user of the blade, able to quickly draw it and slash his target in a single motion.
Biography[]
Not much is known about Awasaka's past. But he always worked as a assassin since youth. He once accepted an offer to kill a young Satoru Gojo, but as Awasaka was spying on Gojo, Awasaka became frightened when Gojo noticed him from afar, and backed out of the hit.
On October 31, 2018, Awasaka is on top of Shibuya's S Tower with Ogami and her grandson as they guard the cursed tools that are putting up the curtains. When Yuji says that Gojo has been sealed, Awasaka hears this and talks with Ogami about what could happen next. Awasaka then wonders if the enemy can find them, but Ogami's grandson says that the enemy will not be able to get to their location fast since the lower floors of the tower is full of transfigured humans. When Megumi and Yuji suddenly show up and trap the three with a wire, Awasaka manages to slip free and grab two of the objects that are putting up the curtains. Awasaka is then thrown intro the wires and falls off the tower.
Awasaka then says that its about time that he kill them, which Megumi summons the Rabbit Escape. Awasaka wonders about the rabbits, they are dispelled which Awasaka wonders if the two had escaped. Suddenly Megumi drops the Max Elephant on Awasaka, but Awasaka easily withstands it. As Megumi deactivates his the Shikigami and distances himself, Awasaka gets annoyed with Megumi and tells him to fight him like a man. Megumi says that is more of Yuji's thing.
As Awasaka is being pressured by the two, he is attacked by Megumi's toad technique, which does some damage to him. But Yuji and Megumi defeats the elderly assassin by punching him numerous times until they ended up tying him unconscious in the middle of the bridge. What happened to Awasaka afterward is completely unknown, but it's possible that he was arrested for the murders he committed.
