Biography[]
Dead Rising[]
At 12 p.m. on September 20, Otis informs Frank that he has noticed Jo dragging a young woman named Kay Nelson straight to the Lovely Fashion House women's clothing store in Wonderland Plaza. Otis was concerned because the young girl was wearing handcuffs and she looked terrified.
Frank West goes to the store that has been designated as the whereabouts of the corrupt female cop to investigate the matter. Inside the store, Frank sees Kay tied to a chair with Jo standing next to her. Inside the store, Frank also sees three other women (Kelly, Lilly, and Janet) handcuffed to store shelves. Upon seeing Frank enter the store, Jo tells Kay that she managed to lure another man in the store and Kay pleads with Frank to help her. Visibly amused, Jo tells her that she deserved the punishment and begins to molest her with a nightstick. Frank, clearly surprised by the escalation of events, begins to ask Jo what Kay has done because he finds her interrogation methods too extreme. Jo angrily tells him to "shut his pie hole" and not to interfere with "official police business" because she will "start with him before she gets to Kay" if he does, prompting a fight between the two.
During the fight, Jo is a unique boss because her main target is not Frank but her hostages. If Frank is out of her reach, Jo will attack the four women until she kills them, making Frank have to kill her quickly before she can kill any of her hostages.
After the fight, the defeated Jo falls to the floor and begins to tell Frank that she can't believe a worthless prick like him managed to do her in, and after a while she dies after convulsing violently. Upon death, Jo drops the handcuff key with which Frank can free and end the nightmare of Kay, Kelly, Lilly and Janet. After freeing the women, Frank takes them to the Security Room.
In the Wii version Dead Rising: Chop Till You Drop, Jo appears as a special zombie variant in two different versions, one that wears a blue shirt, lacks aviator glasses and has two stun guns and another variant that wears a brown shirt, brown pants and aviator glasses that wields a handgun and a stun gun.
Dead Rising 2: Off The Record[]
Frank has met another survivor named Deidre Sanchez who he believes is a police officer to which he will tell her that she's nicer than the one he met before, referring to Jo.
Personality[]
Jo is obnoxious, misogynistic, sadistic, perverted and all around unpleasant. She specifically kidnaps attractive women so she can molest, rape, torture and eventually kill them, hinting at jealousy towards other women as she also uses slurs towards her hostages, calling them whores and skanks and giving them death threats as a way of degrading them. She is also shown to greatly enjoy the suffering of others, smiling or laughing whenever she hurts someone physically or psychologically and chooses to torture her hostages to death painfully with beatings and electrocutions rather then giving them quick deaths. She is shown to be hostile and aggressive too, telling Frank to "shut his pie hole" for disrespecting her authority and ruining her fun then threatening to kill and rape him if he doesn't go away, with her then calling him a worthless prick before she dies, saying she cannot believe he managed to "do her in".
