Joseph "Joe" Warren is a minor antagonist in Naughty Dog's video game The Last of Us.
Joe Warren was one of the University of Eastern Colorado Fireflies soldiers when he was infected with the Cordyceps Brain Infection and turned into a Bloater.
Biography[]
Background[]
Joe was a member of the Fireflies stationed at the University of Eastern Colorado. At an unknown point, an outbreak occured and Joe was killed. He later became a bloater years later. Also it is presumed Joe was the first Firefly infected.
The Last of Us[]
Following the outbreak, Joel Miller found bloater Joe in the dorms of the Fireflies' UEC. Depending on Joel's actions, Joe and either be killed or left alive. If killed, Joel can collect his pendant and tell Ellie Williams the infected were indeed members of the Fireflies. If left alive, Joe charges at Joel, breaking and banging against the barricaded doors. Unfortunately, he was unsuccessful and disappeared. Afterwards, Joel can tell Ellie that he doesn't know if the infected were Fireflies.
