This country is no paradise. All its fake dreams will end here… and the world will be born anew.
~ Joheim expresses his hatred to his former homeland.

Joheim, also known as to his full name as Joheim Leo Armadell is the secondary antagonist of Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World. He is the former first seat of the Saint Disciples for the Heavenly Empire. However, he betrayed the Empire and was revealed to be a spy and the right hand man of the former eldest princess of the Nebulis Sovereignty, Elletear Lou Nebulis IX (the main antagonistic character).

Personality[]

As Elletear's servant, Joheim holds an undying loyalty towards his master and her goals which is destroying the Heavenly Empire and the Nebulis Sovereignty for the sake of revenge after both his and Elletear's mistreatment by the Sovereignty for being weak. In his failed attempt to assassinate Queen Mirabea, he is also highly delusional when he still believed by assassinating the queen and destroying both the Empire and the Sovereignty, it would create a "true paradise" for his master, Elletear to rule as its queen. He holds the strong hatred towards Queen Mirabea and his homeland (which he considered to be a "false paradise") from the mistreatment he received when he was born with the extremely weak Astral Power.

As a spy for Elletear, he is manipulative and traitorous due to his hatred towards the Heavenly Empire, when he used the other Saint Disciples as pawns to further Elletear's goals before the time for him to dispose of them when he is done using them. His loyalty towards Elletear is so strong that he is willing to betray the Eight Great Apostles if they would double cross his master as it demonstrated when his master has indeed killed them for betraying her. He deemed Iska, Alice, Sisbell and their friends to be threats to his master's ambitions when he has no qualms in attempt to terminate them.

History[]

Joheim was born as a purebred Astral Mage from the Nebulis Sovereignty and attempt to join their army hoping to win against the Heavenly Empire. However, he was rejected and mistreated due to him having an extremely weak Astral Power. He later met Elletear who was also rejected and mistreated due to her also having an incredibly weak Astral Power

He joined Elletear as her servant and secretly betrayed the Nebulis Sovereignty as well allied themselves with the Eight Great Apostles (the main antagonist faction) in their goals to destroy both the Heavenly Empire and the Nebulis Sovereignty in their revenge as well create a "true paradise" for Elletear to rule as queen. While Elletear returned to the Sovereignty, Joheim remains in the Heavenly Empire and chosen by the Emperor to become the First Seat of the Saint Disciple but as a spy for Elletear.

Biology[]

Joheim is one of the seven Saint Disciples who were sent to assassinate the Queen, Mirabea Lou Nebulis VIII. However, this attempted ended up with a failure but manage to "capture" Elletear which is nothing but her escort when their plan of assassinate Mirabea didn't go well due to the Queen is more powerful than they expected.

During the chaos in the Heavenly Empire after Elletear killed the Eight Great Apostles for betraying her, Joheim betrayed the Heavenly Empire to rejoice with his master and attempted to hold Iska off from teaming up with Alice against Elletear, until he and the former first princess retreated to the "Great Star Disaster" within the planet's core for his master to complete her mutation.
