~ John to the Turtles. |
John, also known by his nickname Johnny, is a minor antagonist in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2003 cartoon series, appearing only in the first episode "Things Change". He was the leader of the Purple Dragons for a short time when Hun was away working for the Utrom Shredder.
He was voiced by Eric Stuart, who also voiced Spike (TMNT) and Harry Parker in the same series and Seto Kaiba in Yu-Gi-Oh!.
History[]
In the first episode he leads the Purple Dragons in using an armored car to steal a large sum of money. However, one of the Ninja Turtles, Raphael, gets trapped in the armored car which makes the other Turtles go after them.
When the other Turtles free Raphael, Johnny and his men discover the presence of the Turtles and corner them, preparing to pummel them. The Turtles quickly and easily defeat Johnny and his men, making the thugs run away. Johnny later reports his failure to Oroku Saki and mistakenly identifies the Turtles as "karate frog creatures" (despite initially identifying their species correctly), which greatly infuriates Saki. He promises Saki that he will never fail him again, but Saki kills him anyway.
He is later replaced by Dragon Face as acting leader of the Purple Dragons.
