John, also known by his nickname Johnny, is a minor antagonist in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2003 cartoon series. He appears only in the first episode. He was the leader of the Purple Dragons for a short time when Hun was away working for the Shredder.
He was voiced by Eric Stuart.
History
He led the Purple Dragons in using an armored car to steal a large sum of money. However, Raph was trapped in the armored car which made the other Turtles go after them.
When the other Turtles freed Raph, Johnny and his men found the Turtles and cornered them. The turtles defeat Johnny and his men easily, making the thugs run away. Johnny reported his failure to Oroku Saki and mistakely identified the Turtles as "karate frog creatures" (despite initially identifying their species correctly), which angered Saki. He promised Saki that he will never fail him again but Saki killed him anyway. He was later replaced by Dragon Face as acting leader of the Purple Dragons.

Trivia
- John was voiced by Eric Stuart, who also voiced Harry Parker and Seto Kaiba in Yu-Gi-Oh!.
- Although Johnny's name was not mentioned in the TMNT series, his appearance in the Dreamwave comics includes his name.
- Johnny was one of the few 2003 TMNT series characters to be killed, albeit offscreen.
