John is a minor antagonist in the video game Tomb Raider III: Adventures of Lara Croft.
He was voiced by Larry Miller, who also portrayed Louis Seagram in the 1998 remake of Carnival of Souls, Pointy-Haired Boss in Dilbert, Principal Elliot T. Jindraike in Max Keeble's Big Move and Principal Pankley in The Legend of Frosty the Snowman.
Biography[]
As a child, John was trained to kill innocent people. His father and grandfather both worked for Sophia Leigh. As an adult, John became a mercenary. He followed in his father's footsteps and began working for Sophia Leigh as a ruthless killer.
In 1998, John worked as a sniper for Miss Leigh. He was assigned to kill anyone who trespassed near her headquarters in London, England. One night atop St. Paul's Cathedral, John encountered Lara Croft who was searching for the Eye of Isis artifact. He attempted to shoot her many times by using a silenced rifle. Lara retaliated by using her dual pistols. She knocked him against the bell of St. Paul Cathedral, causing it to swing. After a short brawl, Lara pointed her pistols at Jon and started questioning him. He told her that he worked for Sophia Leigh. She asked John for more information about Miss Leigh. He didn't know anything else other than the fact that he shoots people for her. Lara then asked about Miss Leigh's age. He assumed late twenties or early thirties.
Turning away, Lara did not take his cockney seriously. He quickly grabbed his rifle and aimed at her. Before John could shoot Lara, the swinging bell knocked him into the air right before she escaped into a nearby hole. John died after he landed onto the ground.
