John is the main protagonist of the unORDINARY webcomic. He is a high school student attending Wellston High School as a third year and its second most powerful student. While at first trying to get over his traumatic past of going berserk and destroying his classmates, he tries to turn over a new leaf at Wellston. but after being betrayed by Arlo and defeating him, he slowly starts to fall into his old self and vows vengeance on the Wellston Royals by taking them down one-by-one and destroying the hierocracy by assuming identity of Joker (which some people try to imitate.) He becomes the tyrannical leader of the school until being beaten and saved by his best friend, Seraphina and later redeeming himself.
Appearance[]
John is an above average height, muscular, black-haired young man with gold eyes. Throughout the beginning of the story, he gels his hair down, but stops starts letting it be messy later on. Currently, he only uses some gel, giving him a fused look of the two.
Biography[]
New Bostin[]
John was born without an ability in a world, where abilities define your status, just like his father. This led to him getting severely bullied, as seen in middle school. Eventually, he made two friends there named Adrion and Claire. One day John mysteriously obtained a new power. John copies the ability of a student named Oliver who tried to shoot him with a ray-like ability. This makes John very happy, but this would lead him down a dark path.
Once he is in high school, he is more well trained and able to defends his friends. At first it is not too violent until he attacks an already-beaten Oliver for insulting him. John would eventually challenge the school king, Zirian and become incredibly mad after losing. Next year, he defeats Zirian and becomes the king to nobodies like. This is where John takes a dark turn and takes things too far, such as pushing Claire for calling him out, humiliating students from other school who did nothing to him and attacking a kid for disapproving of John being king.
Once Claire has had enough of John's antics, she rallies up a group of students who John has wronged and planned to dethrone him. John feels no guilt and gets even madder at Claire for betraying him. This ends with half of the class getting brutally hospitalized, including Claire and Adrion. It took multiple authorities just to take him down. Afterwards, he was put in delinquent class by a man named Keon and forced to relive his memories.
Wellston High[]
John is ultimately redeemed after reading his father's book, and due to the fear of getting out of controlled like his past-self. John transferred far away from his hometown and attended Wellston High, where he faked his identity as a powerless cripple and did not regret of suffering from constant bullies from his classes.
During his time in Wellston, John meets a girl name Seraphina, one of the strongest ability-users of Wellston High, she demands him to give her his cake, which he stood up against her by handing out the cake and later dropped it on the floor as an act of defiance against her orders, this causes The Ace of the school to beat him up harshly in a bitter of anger before leaving.
However, John was able to develop a friendship with her when they were both put into the same study group and ends up fixing the strain relationship by being friendly and understand her feelings.
John continues to pretend as a cripple for a few years in Wellston. However, it all ends when Arlo, The King of Wellston, becomes curious of why Seraphina is attracted to John, leading him to conduct investigation by ordering Isen to look through John's history, this led to him discovering John's identity as the previous King of New Boston and tries to exposed John by pretending to be his friend and later betrayed John by ordering his underlings to ambushed and began to beat John up, John felt betrayed and reminisced about the time he thought his childhood friend had turned her back on him.
John snapped and used his powers to retaliate against Arlo and his underlings, emerging out victorious and threatens to dethrone Arlo if he dares to expose John. As the story progresses further, when Seraphina lost her powers and the classmates continued to bully both her and John.
Not being able to handle what is going on anymore, John decides to retaliate by becoming the school's local vigilante known as Joker. He now starts to hunt down all the students who mistreated him and Seraphina over the past times and beats them up brutally before leaving them all alone without calling for help.
When Seraphina becomes aware of the fact that John is Joker, she tries to confront him and tells him to stop, only for him to push her away and break her heart upon calling her a cripple and treating her like how others have treated him in the past.
However, this wasn't until the time when Seraphina has got her ability back in Chapter 224 and got into a fight with John, which the boy himself later realized that he must get over with his past, John eventually regrets his actions and now accepts any punishments, as he was expelled for excessive violence and moved back to his countryside in Chapter 226.
Personality[]
John is a complex young man with multiple layers to him. However, he is known to be stubborn and willing to do anything for Seraphina in whatever the situation.
John enrolls into Wellston as a cripple. He comes off as naïve and hopeful but is willing to stand up for himself and other low-tiers like Terrence. This personality was created out of guilt for his previous actions.
John's other personality is his evil personality. It is hinted numerous times such as threatening a lady at the mall, beating up Krolik, slapping Remi for helping him and threatening Isen for trying to pry into his past. His ultimate debut seen against Ventus and Meili after being betrayed by Arlo. It results with him throwing Meili high into the air and stabbing Ventus in the neck for trying to save her. Once he's done with the he threatens Arlo that he will destroy his hierarchy for this. He wears a mask and destroys the high-rankers one-by-one. He also uses it to get revenge on those who wrong him or Seraphina.
In Season 2, he is drastically more unstable, similar to his New Bostin self. John returns to being violent, cynical, narcissistic, and even displays a degree of paranoia over his surroundings, accusing them of being the real hypocrites.
Villainous Acts[]
- In New Bostin, he abuses his newfound power regularly and even hits his best friends Claire and Adrion when trying to stop him. Later, he sent all of his rallying classmates to the hospital.
- He excessively beats many bullies including Krolik, Kalum, Oliver, Tanner, Illena and gang, Mardin and Isen.
- He frequently hits and abuses Elaine, although she somewhat deserves it for mistreating him in the past, he hits her for being unable to perform her healing correctly.
- Brutally beats each of the Wellston Top 9 (excluding Terrence and Seraphina) one by one to set an example.
- Insults the legacy of Remi's dead brother, Rei.
- He punches a low-tier student, Alden, to anger Blyke.
- Alongside Zeke, he performs an attack on the Safe House, resulting in Blyke being gruesomely injured and Zeke abusing multiple helpless students.

- Fighting Abilities: Personally trained by his father, John is an expert fighter with extreme skill in hand-to-hand combat.

- Aura Manipulation: Possibly the rarest to appear so far in the series besides Seraphina's Time manipulation abilities, John possess self-replicating abilities, not only can he copy another person's ability he can also combined or evolve said replicated abilities onto an advanced version of its current state.
