John Doe is a major antagonist and a playable killer in the 2024 Roblox multiplayer asymmetrical horror game, FORSAKEN. He was the former husband of his wife, Jane Doe, before his eventual corruption by The Spectre. Ever since then, the code of Old Roblox courses through his body, telling him to outright kill anyone he sees. This includes many Forsaken survivors, which John has grown used to hunting for more than 200 years.
The Spectre's continues to control John to this day, however, he can fall in love again by seeing his wife, Jane Doe, which leads to The Spectre blacking out her face for John and make him continue his killing spree.
Out of all the killers in Forsaken, John Doe is the second most manipulated by The Spectre, aside from c00lkidd. Despite how much John wants to remember Jane Doe, it's clear that The Spectre will suppress this via redacting her face.
Appearance[]

Setting aside most of his monstrous body parts, John is still, at the very end, human-like in appearance; his uniform matches that of his original account, being equipped with a yellow shirt and blue pants matched with his yellow skin like many Robloxians in the Forsaken universe. His right arm is completely corrupted and appears to have transformed his hand into one large spike with several claws, a notable attack method he uses on survivors in-game. Red binary code can be seen both in his eyes, hands, and his legs.
Different iterations of John Doe's milestones show him getting more and more corrupted. The first one has him wearing clothes (possibly work clothes) and glasses. This is pretty clearly the earliest stage of John's corruption, as you can still see his regular arm within the corrupt spike arm. The second milestone's not too different from the first. It features John wearing more casual clothes, but the spike arm has become so corrupted that his normal arm is no longer visible. The corruption has also begun to spread across his body. The third milestone is very different. He wears his own missing poster on his face, and the corruption has spread around to most of his body. He wears the same clothing but is now wearing tie. His spike arm now has a mouth, and can open up and clamp down, much like crab claws. The fourth and final milestone is certainly a sight. The corruption has spread to his entire body, and the corruption on his spike arm now have eyes, showing that it's alive. John now wears a crown on his head and cape on his back.
Personality[]
John Doe is nothing short but a sick, twisted, and brainwashed psychopath while under the effects of The Spectre. He effortlessly kills survivors and uses his abilities to trap them and empower himself, not willing to let down his task for more than 200 years (much like other killers). Unlike other killers, John is cunning, strategic, and knows exactly where to put his traps where it is needed despite being brainwashed.
In this corrupted state, John is a monster under the effects of The Spectre, he isn't able to remember his loved ones (most notably his wife, Jane Doe) as he's shown throughout the Milestone Skins the corruption taking over him, showing him almost giving up on trying to resist The Spectre's mind control. However, that doesn't mean John Doe can feel love, since if John Doe sees Jane Doe, he will fall in love with her again. This leads The Spectre to have to continue brainwashing John in the event he falls in love with her again.

- The original John Doe myth featured him and Jane Doe somehow hacking Roblox on March 18th.
- Assumingly, John Doe and Jane were likely slandered in Forsaken's lore, as they were both accused of being hackers. This likely caused a lot of spark within Robloxia, so much so that Roblox themselves had to step in.
- This likely explains the blog post Roblox made and how their statements were used in John Doe's ability quotes.
- John Doe's ability moveset was based off of an old Roblox script that was actually used to terrorize players in real life.
