John Geermer is minor antagonist from the 2015 game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. He is a former soldier and member of the Temerian resistance in White Orchard.
Biography[]
John is a Temerian soldier of the 6th Temerian Division serving as a corporal. After triggering the Third Northern War where Temeria was conquered by Nilfgaardian forces, John and other surviving soldiers formed a resistance movement in White Orchard after the battle, fighting against Nilfgaardian territories controlling Temeria.
When the Nilfgaardian garrison ordered a shipment of medicinal charges, John was waiting near the garrison for a cart with a stifle and when he saw a wagon with a load passing by, John attacked the cart with the shipment, firing several arrows from the bow, killing the courier. When the horse from the cart was wounded, he ran out with the cart to the swamps where the Drowners were roaming and then killed the horse John, knowing that he would not be able to fight the Drowneds, decided to set up a camp pretending to be a merchant and when Geralt comes to him, he makes up a story that he crashed his wagon in the swamps because of his irresponsibility all to convince Geralt to help him, which he agrees to.
