~ John Haan justifying his actions. |
Haan Yong, also called John Haan, is a minor antagonist of the Rusty Quill horror podcast The Magnus Archives.
He was a man living in Walthamstow who ran a small takeaway, before killing his wife, and disposing of her body by putting her in the food he served.
Personality[]
John Haan seemed to have a somewhat dim view of humanity and relished the concept of cannibalism. He believed that humans were no different from other animals, so eating them was not morally wrong. He went to exceptional lengths to prove this, although also seemed somewhat quiet, and didn't try to explain himself to the police.
Biography[]
John Haan ran a small takeaway on Higham Hill Road in Walthamstow where he sold mostly meat. One day, for unknown reason, he decided to murder his wife. He disposed of her body by putting her in the meat he sold and feeding her to his customers. He was eventually caught and arrested.
John most likely spent the rest of his life in prison, although he still became a significant influence on his nephew, Tom Haan.
Trivia[]
- John Haan was most likely a servitor of the Flesh, like his nephew.
- Jonnathan Sims, the head writer for the show, has apologized for the unintentionally racist portrayal of the Haan family as it leant into the cannibalistic stereotypes of Asian cultures.
