Biography[]
John Loach is a depressed detective who partners with Janice Moss to solve the Ryan Madison murder case. Even though at times he wasn't much help, he still did all he could to help Janice find out who killed Ryan Madison. Loach discovered that Ryan Madison had an affair with Chechan leader Goran Pazar's wife, which led Janice and Loach to Gene Cousineau's acting school, where they interrogated everyone for clues. Later on, when Barry Berkman murdered Janice when she discovered that he was involved in the murder, Loach investigated her disappearance to no luck, and informed Gene that they are letting the case go due to no evidence. Later on, the LAPD finds out a tooth found at the crime scene of Goran Pazar's murder (who was killed by Barry) shares the DNA of Monroe Fuches, who was arrested after attempting to find a different hitman due to Barry quitting on him. Loach's new partner Detective Mae Dunn informs him of this, and Loach easily connects Fuches to Barry, and discovers that Barry murdered Janice and the two Chechens that killed Ryan.
Loach visits Cleveland where Fuches is being held, who denies knowing who Barry is, which causes Loach to threaten Fuches to cooperate or he will go to prison, which causes Fuches to break and agrees to help Loach. After multiple failed attempts by Fuches to get Barry to confess, Fuches has an emotional talk with Barry which gives him second thoughts about betraying him. At a motel where Loach is monitoring Fuches, the latter calls Barry to meet him there. Later on, while Loach is not paying attention, Fuches calls Barry and attempts to tell him to avoid contact with him because he got caught. Fuches then attempts to escape the hotel room, and encounters Barry who decided to show up anyway, much to the annoyance of Fuches. Fuches tries his hardest to try and signal to Barry not to say anything, but Barry nonetheless admits to the Janice murder infront of Loach. Loach, who recorded the encounter, decides not to arrest Barry, but blackmails him and Fuches to kill his ex-wife's boyfriend, Ronny Proxin, and he will let them go.
Barry, disguised, breaks into Ronny's home and encounters him, where Barry informs him of Loach's blackmail and tells Ronny that he plans on helping Ronny escape instead. Ronny, however, pretends to cooperate with Barry and then proceeds to attack Barry. Barry eventually crushes Ronny's windpipe during the fight, which causes Ronny to eventually pass out while continuing to fight Barry. Barry then tries to leave, but stops when he encounters Ronny's daughter Lily, who finds Ronny unconscious and proceeds to viciously attack Barry before running away. Barry, who is now wounded after Lilys attack on him, meets with Fuches at the car. As Fuches gathers supplies at a market, Loach calls Barry and asks about his progress. Barry angrily hangs up on him. Afterwards, after telling Fuches about Lily, Fuches decides that they need to kill her. They manage to find her, but Lily climbs up on a tree and onto a roof, terrifying Fuches who decides to wait in the car with Barry for a few hours. Lily eventually jumps on the car, bites a part of Fuches' face, and runs away much to the horror of Fuches and Barry. They drive back to the market where Barry gets supplies for Fuches who has his hands super glued to the car after using it on his hands to cover Barry's wound. Barry encounters an injured Ronny getting medical supplies, and he proceeds to attack him again infront of a bunch of bystanders, who call the police. While fighting, Loach arrives and shoots Ronny, and then attempts to murder Barry to get rid of him as a loose end, until Ronny gets back up and roundhouse kicks Loach in the head, crushing his skull and instantly killing Loach. More police officers get into the market and shoots Ronny to death while Barry gets away with Fuches.
