John Sansker, also known as Heartless John, is a villain in the Spawn series.
He was created by Alan Moore and Tony Daniel
History[]
John Sansker was born in 1032 in France as Jean de St. Claire. He lived through the centuries as a paranormal researcher under a cover. He secretly robs blood banks in these cities where he's researching a monster to receive pure, pre-screened blood. Many of his brethren have died of venereal disease blood and he steals from blood banks since they screen the blood for him.
John Sansker found The Curse crucified to the wall and tormented him until he admitted that Spawn performed horrible crimes against children.
John Sansker came to New York City with the New York City Police Headquarters to serve as their extra normal researcher. He proposed to the city to place posters around the city to drive Spawn out of the Alleys. When Twitch Williams got too close to the truth by uncovering posters and news clippings hundreds of years old on John Sansker, he was twisted into a blood pretzel and rushed to the hospital upon being discovered by his partner, Sam Burke.
Upon being discovered in battle with Spawn, Sansker revealed his true form and transformed into a vampire snake. He disappeared and threatened his influence on New York City to turn on Spawn was only practice for what he had planned for Hong Kong.
Nearly 20 years later, after Spawn sealed the Dead Zones and created the Time Rift that left the forces of Heaven and Hell stranded on Earth without their leaders, Sansker had a brief encounter with Spawn, taunting him how his actions created a power vacuum, and even with all his enemies stranded on earth, it would take him years to take them all out. Spawn proposes that he should then start with Sansker himself, who feels confident that Al is too weak to fight him. None the less, Sansker, even on his true form of a giant serpent, is easily defeated by a now far more experienced Spawn, but is still allowed to leave alive, with Al even taunting him to spread the word of how "weak" he is now, so more come for him, making his hunts for the "Shadow Players" of Heaven and Hell, easier.
Powers and Abilities[]
Being half vampire and half Seprant, John Sansker possesses superhuman strength, speed, and stamina, with a healing factor, and he can turn into a serpent hybrid monster.
