John Wilkes Booth is one out of the nine protagonist from the stage musical, Assassins by John Weidman with music by Stephen Sondheim. Based on the real-life former actor turned assassin of Abraham Lincoln.

Biography[]
John Wilkes Booth was born to the prominent 19th-century Booth theatrical family and would later follow his family footsteps and become an actor himself. During his career as an actor he'll been taken less serious than his older brother and would get negative reviews from Critics and his father. Due to his negative reviews of his performances he'll become envious of his brother, especially because he gets to performs Marcus Brutus from Shakespeare's Julius Creaser.
When the Civil War broke out, he joins Confederacy to overthrow the American Government. On April 14, 1965, during a play of Our American Cousin in Ford's Theatre. Booth snuck in Lincoln's box, shooting behind his head during the massive applause of the play. He would later jump off Lincoln's box and requoted Brutus's line, meaning "No more Tranny". Between the time of the assassination and April 26th, the US government would start a manhunt for him and his co-conspirators. He'll hide inside a barnyard along side with David Harold, where he was corner by Union Troops in which they burnt the barn. During his capture, he begins to write papers about his criticism on Lincoln, believing it would redeemed him. He'll would pled to the balladeer to tell historians to not portray him as another delusional criminal, before killing himself with the same gun he shot Lincoln.
He'll would been shown along side other successful assassins and Sara Moore, singing about their gun and again for "Another National Anthem" explaining his intention of shooting Lincoln. He'll would discover Lee Harvey Oswald in the top floor of the Book depository and would convinces to shoot JFK in order to continues his legacy.
