Jombo is a supporting antagonist of the Smiling Friends episode Erm, the Boss Finds Love?.
He is a con-man that was present at Mr. Boss' wedding, he sels Charlie a fake knife for $600, and then escaped with the money to New Jersey.
He is voiced by Rodrigo Huerta.
Appearance[]
He is a short, pale green humanoid critter with an amorphous, long head and a large, hooked nose. He has several small warts on his skin and wears a grey suit with a black tie.
Personality[]
From what little can be garnered, Jombo is a shady, deceptive, and enigmatic character, embodying traits typical of a con artist. He successfully manipulates a drunk Charlie into buying a fake retractable knife for a steep price. His interactions suggest that he is an opportunist who takes advantage of others' gullibility, particularly when they are in vulnerable states, and relocates and deletes all traces of himself afterwards.
Despite him being able to win over Charlie with his manipulative "charm," he lacks social grace and is completely incomprehensible, speaking in only mumbled gibberish while unenthusiastically telling his "funny story," suggesting his plan only worked on Charlie because he was intoxicated. He also demonstrates perverse behavior, as he was seen touching himself while watching the Mr. Boss and Brittney kiss.
Biography[]
Jombo was invited to Mr. Boss and Brittney's wedding, where he met Charlie and got into a conversation with him. During their conversation, Jombo supposedly told him a funny story and sold him a fake retractable knife for $600, unbeknownst to Charlie who believed it was real. Charlie, while drunk, introduced Jombo to Pim and argued that Jombo should be the fifth Smiling Friend. Jombo recites his "funny story" upon Charlie's request which consists of nothing but unintelligible, mumbled gibberish, much to Pim's confusion. Jombo was later seen touching himself in the background while watching Mr. Boss and Brittney kiss.
After Pim, Charlie, and Allan discover out that Mr. Boss' wife is the daughter of Satan and intends to kill Mr. Boss and give his possessions to Satan, they learn that the only way to kill her is by draining her blood. They decide to use the knife that Charlie was sold, but as Pim "stabs" Brittany, he and Charlie realize the knife that Jombo sold Charlie was a plastic retractable knife. After this realization, Pim suggests that Charlie should get his money back, but Charlie tells Pim that Jombo deleted everything and moved to New Jersey.
