~ Farrow rationalizing his abuse to Dexter. |
Jonathan Farrow is a character who features in the Dexter episode "Slack Tide". He is a famous photographer whom Dexter Morgan suspects of murdering his subjects.
He was portrayed by Greg Ellis, who also portrayed Michael Amador in 24.
History[]
In 2002, Farrow was arrested for rape in New York, but he was released when the victim recanted. The officer in charge later says that Farrow had probably bribed her into dropping the charges.
In the season four episode "Slack Tide", Farrow comes under Dexter Morgan's radar after the remains of one of his models is discovered in the swamp. While being interrogated, he threatens/flirts with Dexter's sister Debra, causing Dexter to put off killing Arthur Mitchell to take care of him.
While investigating Farrow, Dexter discovers that Estrella Caraza, the model who was killed, was beaten in Farrow's studio. Dexter plans to abduct Farrow from a nightclub, but a homicide detective who works with Dexter shows up, forcing Dexter to postpone killing Farrow. Later, Farrow goes home only to be garroted and abducted by Dexter. Farrow wakes up strapped to a table in his studio with Dexter standing over him.
When Dexter accuses him of killing Caraza, Farrow denies any involvement in the murder and says he beat her to create a contrast between ugliness and beauty. Unimpressed, Dexters kills Farrow with a cleaver, and dumps his remains in the sea. However he was later proved to be telling the truth, as his assistant Timothy Brand was later charged with Caraza's murder based on air-tight evidence such as CCTV footage.
