~ Jorah convincing Monstrox to make a deal with him |
Lord Jorah Tightwad is an episodic antagonist in the Nexo Knights animated series, acting as a neutral character in the first three seasons before becoming a minor antagonist in the fourth season of the series.
He is one of the wealthiest men in the kingdom of Knighton and King Halbert's rival. His schemes to get more wealth had sometimes led to confrontations with Nexo Knights, culminating with Jorah making a deal with Jestro and Monstrox in hopes of ruling Knighton with them.
He was voiced by Brian Drummond.
Biography[]
Past[]
Jorah Tightwad once studied at Knights Academy and was famous for finishing his peers' leftovers. Although he graduated, he devoted himself mostly to managing various businesses across the kingdom instead of knighthood. He had a band of performer knights, "Tighty Knighties", as well as several Cowbots in Nothing Hill, at his service.
In the evening, Jestro broke the Book of Monsters out, and Merlok tried to stop them by creating an explosion; Jorah was being carried by Tighty Knighties when the Book of Envy, cast away by the explosion, landed in front of him. When he touched it, he was jealous of King Halbert and everything he had.
Antagonistic roles[]
- In "The King's Tournament," when the king's Nexo Knights went up against Tightwad's team of Tighty Knighties, the businessman demanded that the reward for his knights' victory would be a kiss from the king's daughter, Macy. The Tighty Knighties showed themselves as much more skillful than the Nexo Knights, but when the Lava Monsters invaded the Joustdome in search of the Book of Envy (which Jorah falsely claimed his knights got in a battle), the king's knights defeated them in a fight. They were thus declared winners by the king. Due to this, Tightwad is forced to kiss Lance Richmond's "sweetheart," who turns out to be his pet pig, Hamletta.
- In "The Good, the Bad, and the Tightwad," an amnesiac Clay Moorington wound up in Nothing Hill. Learning of the knight's condition, Jorah manipulated him into believing that he was his servant, "Calamity Clay," and had him force the citizens of Nothing Hill out of their town so that he could proceed with mining operations. The knights, however, managed to trigger Clay's old memories and end Tightwad's scheme, with the citizens taking the gold he would claim as his own and renaming their town Stinking Rich and Happy Hill.
- In "Krakenskull," the Tighty Knighties dug a pit for a gold vault Jorah planned to make when they stumbled across the petrified Lord Krakenskull and his army buried underground. Tightwad, bitter over his past encounters with Nexo Knights, decided to sell them to Jestro and Monstrox so that they would use Krakenskull and his army to defeat the king's forces, letting the two of them rule the kingdom with Tightwad. While initially reluctant, the villains accepted the deal and stole all the gold they could from Stinking Rich and Happy Hill to pay the businessman for the army. However, when Krakenskull failed to defeat the knights, Monstrox went back to Jorah, demanding a "discount," and had Jestro use the Forbidden Power of Metal Morphosis on the gold in his vault, turning it all into the lead before doing the same to Jorah's town made of gold.
Fate[]
Jorah suffered seemingly no further consequences for his treason, although it's unknown if anyone other than him, his minions, and the villains know about it. He let Tighty Knighties fight against Stone Monsters to protect his possessions and was at the victory celebration in Knightonia after Monstrox's defeat.

Trivia[]
- He claims to own a gold factory, but it's implied to be a lie since gold isn't produced artificially, leading Macy Halbert to assume that he buys gold from other people.
- In the physical version of an in-universe book, The Knight's Code, Tightwad is described as one of the fattest people in Knighton, which otherwise isn't evident due to him being portrayed with a standard minifigure body.
- He and Baron von Bludgeonous are the only two Knights' Academy graduates to be villains.
- Ironically, some promotional materials described Jorah Tightwad as just a guy who loves money rather than a villain. He was even grouped with heroic characters in the official trading card series. It should be noted, however, that those came out before Season 4, where he showed himself to be far worse than a petty rival of King Halbert and was willing to hurt completely unrelated people.
