Jorge Galvez is the main antagonist of the Law & Order: Criminal Intent episode "The Pilgrim". Galvez is an ex-con and Islamic extremist terrorist, guilty of the murder of Leslie Dornan and the attempted bombing of New York City's 2002 Veteran's Day Parade.
He's portrayed by Manny Pérez.
Biography[]
While Galvez, a Baltimore-born gangster, was in prison for beating a man over a fender bender, an outreach program encourage this conversation to Islam. But in spite of their more faithfully encouraging efforts, Galvez chose jihadism as the excuse for his rage. Coordinating with sleeper Ali Al-Javad and American teacher Ethan Edwards, Galvez planned for himself and Edward's to detonate dirty bomb vets at the Veteran's Day festival in New York City.
Al-Javad's girlfriend Leslie, a policeman's daughter, was a witness, so Galvez had Edwards lure her to the apartment. She was shot and abandoned in a boiler room. Galvez was in the wind, but Edwards and Al-Javad were arrested. Edwards, out of his guilt from Leslie's murder, gave up her location. Galvez' hair under her fingernails revealed he died it blond, and the Major Case Squad accurately surmised Galvez was after the parade from Edwards' confession. Galvez was briefly distracted by Detective Robrrt Goren trying to talk to him. When Galvez knew he was had and tried to dstonate the bomb, he was shot and killed.
