Jorge Padilla is the main antagonist of the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit episode "Once Upon a Time in El Barrio". He is a violent and sadistic sex trafficker, working with his sister Lourdes Padilla to traffic girls and force them into prostitution.
He was portrayed by Angel Rosario, Jr.
Biography[]
Jorge Padilla works with his sister Lourdes who runs a bogus modeling agency in Mexico which she uses to get girls to lure girls to be trafficked to America, where they are handled by Jorge who keeps them in line and forces in into prostitution. While trafficking six girls to America, he collects their phones and when one of them, Maribel ties to escape, Jorge knocks her down before pouring gas onto her and burning to death in front of the other girls, using this murder as a warning to all of them before threatening another girl when he sees her hiding her phone from him, which he confiscates. He then forces them into prostitution.
SVU investigates the murder Jorge committed and work to learn the truth about the trafficking ring. During the investigation, Detective Rosanny Chavez is hit and killed by a car, this being having been orchestrated by Jorge. The other detectives end up discovering that police captain, Don Kubiak is affiliated with the Padilla siblings' sex trafficking ring, Kubiak agrees to take part in a sting operation to bust the ring. Kubiak communicates with Jorge and they plan to meet up, Jorge revealing that his sister had been caught and arrested in Mexico. Kubiak gets Jorge to allow him to help transport the girls and they go to the motel where the other trafficked girls are being kept. The detectives hold Jorge at gunpoint and force him to surrender. Jorge is arrested and sent to prison.
Personality[]
Jorge is a cruel, sadistic, and psychopathic brute without morals who shows no remorse for any of the horrific acts his commits such as forcing girls into prostitution and cruelly burning one of them to death. Despite how evil he is, he does seem to have some care for his sister Lourdes, as he was angry at the prospect of her being sold out.
