Josh Galloway is the main antagonist of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit episode "Comic Perversion". He is a misogynistic and controversial comedian who is notorious for making jokes about rape. Galloway himself is a rapist a who preys on female college students.

Biography[]
Josh Galloway is a comedian who became popular and controversial by making rape jokes. He regularly does his comedy routines at colleges around the country and will get college girls drunk so that he can rape them, having done this to numerous young women.
While performing at Tompkins Square University, he made multiple jokes about rape, which led to rape survivor, Renee Clark, who was with her group of rape advocates, to call him out publicly. Josh brought Renee up onstage and mocked her, saying how she should be gang-raped. This led to two college men who were at Galloway's show, attacking Renee and attempting to rape her, which led to SVU investigating. Olivia Benson questioned Galloway at his hotel, where he claimed he had not said anything wrong and invited her to his show that night.
The detectives go to Galloway's show where he mocks them and brags about having sex with Carly Rydell, who is at the show. After the show, Carly approaches the detectives and reveals that Galloway had raped her. He had gotten her drunk and taken her back to his hotel room where he took advantage of and violently sodomized her. When Tutuola arrests Galloway for the rape, he takes enjoyment in the publicity that it will give him, claiming that he had done nothing wrong. At the trial, he keeps up his comedian persona and denies having raped Carly, making jokes during Rafael Barba's cross-examination.
Renee is upset about the prospect of Galloway not being caught so she goes undercover and approaches him at a bar, having a camera hidden in her eye glasses so that she can incriminate him for his crimes. Galloway takes an interest in her and takes her to his room where he pushes to have sex. When Renee tries to leave, Galloway violently attacks her, pinning her down on the bed. He attempts to rape her, but Renee manages to escape from him after kicking him in the groin, having the video of the assault. When Barba shows the video to Galloway, he takes a plea agreement where he would be registered as a sex offender and be put on probation to avoid jail time.

Josh Galloway is a cocky, arrogant, rude, and misogynistic individual who gleefully jokes about rape, mocking rape victims in the process. He views himself as above the law and takes pleasure in forcing himself on young women, confident that he will be able to get away with this crimes. Even in court, he keeps up his rude comedian personal and mocks his victim.
