~ Joshua challenging Arthur/John to a duel |
Joshua Brown is a minor antagonist in Red Dead Redemption 2.
Biography[]
A former gunslinger and bounty hunter living in Strawberry, Brown became a wanted man himself after he committed several "unlawful killings". Arthur Morgan (or John Marston) is hired to capture Brown alive, as the Sheriff wanted to show him some goodwill after his previous bounties.
When Arthur finally comes across his campsite in an abandoned cave, Brown corners him. He forces him into a duel, during which the gun is shot. After a futile attempt to run, Arthur catches up with him, hogties him and stows him on his horse. As Arthur rides back to Strawberry, Brown grumbles that Arthur should have killed him like a man.
On the way back, Arthur may come across a team of bounty hunters who attempt to kill him and steal Brown for his bounty. Arthur kills them all and delivers Brown to the Sheriff's office, dropping him in a cell.
What happened to Brown from then on is unknown, although he presumably gets saddled with a heavy prison sentence.
