Jougami is a Tsukumogami created by Dark Shadow and he serves as the secondary antagonist in episode 3 of GoGo Sentai Boukenger. He was tasked by his masters to assist Shizuka of the Wind in stealing the three Blades of the Three Kingdoms in order for Dark Shadow to sell them on the black market. Eventually, this plan of Dark Shadow brought the attention of the Boukengers, which led to one of the first confrontations between the team of superheroes and the greedy terrorist organization.

He is voiced by Masaharu Sato, who previously voiced Dezumozorlya in Bakuryuu Sentai Abaranger.

Biography

Jougami was created from an antique lock and a stack of computer discs. His purpose was to assist Shizuka of the Wind in stealing the three Blades of the Three Kingdoms so Dark Shadow could sell them on the black market. When Dark Shadow's initial attempt to steal the last of the artifacts from a party held by a software executive failed, Jougami and Shizuka infiltrated the executive's building to obtain it, turning the building's security system against the executive and the Boukengers. Although Jougami had seemingly stolen the real artifact, it turned out to be a decoy, with the real one being worn by the executive around his waist. Having been persuaded by Souta's words about adventuring, the executive handed the artifact to the Boukengers for them to use it against Jougami after he was enlarged. In DaiBouken, the Boukengers used the artifact to power their sword and destroyed Jougami.

Jougami was later seen as one of the illusions, summoned by Natsuki when Boukengers obtained the Hatsune Drum Precious and BoukenYellow accidentally used its power to summon the illusions of the fallen defeated monsters, which the Boukengers defeated a long time ago.

Personality

Jougami was an arrogant, confident, ruthless and determined Tsukomogami, who was loyal to his masters the Dark Shadow leaders and will stop at nothing to destroy the Boukengers and help Shizuka steal the Blades of the Three Kingdoms for the Dark Shadow. He was shown to be highly stubborn, deceptive and cunning at his mission to assist Shizuka and was shown to taking delight from antagonizing the Rangers and trying to steal the Blades of the Three Kingdoms. He was also delighted in his mission to destroy the Boukengers. However, despite his arrogant, cunning and deceptive nature, Jougami was genuinely loyal and faithful to Shizuka and other Dark Shadow leaders and was loyally following their orders. Also, despite being a villain, Jougami was also a highly comedic character and served as a comic relief of the episode.

Powers and Abilities

• Passing through walls: Jougami has the ability to phase through any solid objects.
• Hacking: Jougami can shoot out data discs to hack computers, for instance he hacked Kazumasa Yamatani's security system to attack the Boukengers while stealing a Precious.
• Teleportation: Jougami can teleport to any location at will.
• Weapon Transformation: Jougami is able to change different parts of his body into weapons, as seen when he turned his right arm into a drill-like laser blaster.
• Power Absorption: As stated by Shizuka, Jougami was able to absorb the power of two Neptune scrolls to make himself stronger.
• Chest Blast: Jougami can fire a blue energy blast from his chest.
• Chest Beam: Jougami could also fire a blue colored energy beam from his chest.
• Superhuman Strength: Jougami is strong enough to overpower his opponents and throw them around.
• Speech: Jougami can speak although he lacks a visible mouth.
• Extraordinary Leaper: Jougami can leap at an incredible distance.
  • Charging: Jougami can leap and attack his enemies while charging.

Arsenal

• Three Blades of National Leadership: He wields the combined form of two of the swords.
• Right Arm Laser Drill Blaster: Jougami can turn his right arm into a drill-shaped blaster that can shoot green colored energy lasers.
• Lightning Baton: Jougami can use a baton with a lightning-style blade for an aid in combat, which he created using two Scrolls of Neptune.
  • Energy Wave: Ultrog can unleash a massive blue colored energy wave from his lightning baton. It is powerful enough to push the DaiBouken Robo down to the ground with just one blast.
