~ Dr. Yado |
The Joy Mutants are the secondary antagonististic race and make up most of the major bosses in the LISA series. They are horrific monsters who were once normal humans, but mutated into near-unrecognizable freaks due to their overdose of the drug known as Joy. They were created by Dr. Yado in an effort to create a superspecies that would obey and enforce his every command.
History[]
The drug known as Joy was originally developed with the purpose of creating super soldiers for the government. However after many failures, the project was cancelled since all test subjects were either to weak or lacked the necessary obedience.
Unbeknownst to many of the scientists and higher ups at the time, one of the scientists, named Yado, had found a way to control the mutants by using his golden trumpet.
After the apocalyptic event known as "The White Flash", Dr. Yado ordered Buzzo to start selling Joy throughout the land of Olathe so that he could build an army of super soldiers to take over the world.
After Yado's death, the golden trumpet has fallen at the hands of Buddy, making her the new leader of the Joy mutants.
Appearance[]
The appearance between Joy Mutants varies greatly, however there are some common traits, those include: unnaturally long limbs, immense size, atrophy or lack of certain limbs and fusion of the head directly to the body (in some cases).
Joy Mutants also tend to have asymmetric bodies and grotesque appearances, with some maintain a vaguely human shape while others look like pure abominations of flesh.
Personality[]
Joy Mutants tend to behave according to their deepest desires, which usually are either violent or sexual. Upon transforming, most mutants will kill all nearby living creatures regardless of whether they are friend or foe.
Once done, the mutant will remain in the general area and will either attack intruders or ignore them.
