Joyce Chevapravatdumrong. better known as Joyce Kinney, is the titular main antagonist in Family Guy episode "And I'm Joyce Kinney" and a supporting character from the tenth season onwards.
She is voiced by Christine Lakin, who also voiced Jane in Telltale's The Walking Dead: Season 2.
Appearance[]
Joyce Kinney is an adult Caucasian woman with chin-length blonde hair. She wears a dark grayed buttoned up jacket and matching skirt, a lighter gray undershirt, black high heels, very light blue pearl earrings, and red lipstick.
Biography[]
Joyce Kinney is Diane Simmons's replacement on Quahog 5 News after Simmons was killed by Stewie Griffin in "And Then There Were Fewer." She first appeared in "Excellence in Broadcasting." Tom Tucker, her new co-anchor, did not let her run a story in her debut. She is also in the new Family Guy opening theme. She is also seen in a photo when Brian and Tom are walking in the studio in "Brian Writes a Bestseller."
She went to high school with Lois Griffin and reveals that her real last name is Chevapravatdumrong, although she changed it to Kinney to use for television. Joyce was traumatized when she was blindfolded, had her pants pulled down and a hot dog put into her mouth by Lois, and then put in front of the entire school. When Lois becomes a fan of her work on Quahog 5 News, and they have an encounter in Stop 'N Shop, she decides to befriend her. When they go out to dinner at Vajberry Bar & Grill, Joyce discovers that Lois once had an abortion and starred in a pornographic movie called Quest for Fur. Joyce also gives Lois a tour of the newsroom. Joyce then broadcasts the information Lois told her in confidence as an exposé out of revenge, leading Lois to be shunned by the entire town and expelled from her church. In the end, the people and the pastor at Lois's church reaccept her, much to Joyce's anger.
In the episode "Follow the Money," it is discovered that Joyce and Lois have finally become friends since she is a member of Lois' Book Club.

Quotes[]
“ | You ruined my adolescence, Lois. You’re told me I’d made the cheer squad, blindfolded me, and told me we were going for a “special celebration breakfast”. When you took the blindfold off, I was standing front of the entire school, with my pants around my ankles, and a hot dog in my mouth. | „ |
~ Joyce explaining her backstory, and about how Lois had ruined her teenage years during high school. |
Trivia[]
- Despite Joyce Kinney nearly destroying Lois Griffin's life and reputation by revealing that she did a pornographic film back in high school, some fans actually rooted for Joyce due to the cruel and traumatizing prank Lois and her cheerleading friends played on her in high school, in addition to the fact that Lois had become too unlikable by that point of the show for always committing bad actions or criminal offenses and rarely getting punished.
- Due to Joyce's childhood surname, Chevapravatdumrong, being a Thai surname, she is either at least partially Thai-American, or was adopted by a Thai family in her youth.
