~ Jubair's last words. |
Jubair al Hakkim is a villain from the videogame Assassin's Creed. He is a Templar and the seventh target Altaïr needs to assassinate. He is located in the middle district of Damascus.
Jubair Al Hakkim is known as the head of the Illuminated, and he is the chief scholar of Damascus. He has a rather strange view on literature. Instead of seeking knowledge, the illuminated hunt down and burn all sources of written knowledge in Damascus. They believe such documents are the source of all evil in the world, for example: they believe that the war between the Crusaders and the Saracen was caused by books.
Jubair disrespects the works of ancient writers such as Plato and Socrates. He is a very ruthless man who does not spare those that oppose him. He believes people should stop learning from books, so they can find their true calling.
Jubair was assassinated by Altaïr while he was conducting a book burning in the courtyard near his palace, the Madrasah Al-Kallasah. Altaïr had to track down the real Jubaïr among a dozen of followers, who where wearing the same uniform.
