Judy Reyes is one of the two main antagonists of the visual novel Steins;Gate 0. She is an agent of the American organization known as DURPA who seeks to use the Amadeus AI to turn America into a global superpower and use the theory of time travel to take over the world.
She was voiced by Maya Nishimura in both the visual novel and the Japanese version of the anime. In the English dub of the anime, she was dubbed by Emily Neves.
Appearance[]
Reyes is a tall, middle-aged woman with glasses, short brown hair ,a lab coat, and blouse that it slightly unbuttoned up top.
Biography[]
Background[]
Judy Reyes is a key part of DURPA's project to brainwash people into becoming the ultimate soldiers before taking over the world. At some point she would become a professor at Viktor Chondria University and work with Stratfor agent Alexis Leskinen. She pretended to be on his side so she could access the Amadeus AI and use it to create the ultimate soldiers instead of brainwashing. While working with Stratfor she would also use the memory transferring technology on animals and even humans (including children) which would fry their brains due to it being incomplete. Reyes would eventually discover that Kurisu Ai had a theory on time travel which she would hope to obtain for herself to ensure her country become the ultimate superpower on the planet. This would result in her having her men ransack several places for information including burning down Kurisu's house.
Stray Sheep[]
At the New Years Party at Future Gadget Labs Reyes disguised in a Motorcycle suit alongside other DURPA agents attempted to kidnap Kagari although this was foiled when Yugo Tennouji fought off her agents and Suzuha injured her arm, forcing her to retreat. Due to the timeline changing this attack would end up not happening in future timelines.
Orbital Eclipse[]
Reyes would later follow Maho and give her a surprise hug, which led Okabe to think she was under attack before Maho explained she was a professor at the University. Later she and Leskinen would arrive late to the festival at the shrine and miss the Shaman Girls performance much to the disappointment of both.
Twin Automata[]
She would attempt to kidnap Maho so she could use her to gain access to Amadeus although Okabe and Yugo Tennouji would stop her men forcing her to flee. She would later find Maho and Leskinen trying to access the Ai which resulted in her killing Leskinen and threatening to do the same to Maho if she did not hand access rights over to her. Maho would supposedly give in and reboot the Ai however Maho would be rescued by Moeka Kiryuu causing them to escape. Reye's would attempt to gain control of Amadeus Kurisu only to realize that Maho had lied about transferring control over to her and then was held at gunpoint by both Maho and Moeka. Reyes however would take the gun from Maho and threaten to kill Moeka if she did not give her the access rights and shot Moeka to show she was not bluffing. Maho would seem to comply however she would instead initiate the deletion of the program which enraged Reye's and she attempted to kill Maho, only to be shot by the still alive Moeka and would later presumably be taken into custody by the authorities.
Antiomic Dual/Promised Rinascimento[]
In another timeline, the memories of the Amadeus Kurisu would be uploaded into Kagrai which would cause Reye's to send her men to kidnap her although they ended up being defeated by Yugo Tennouji and Suzuha and her plan to the lab was foiled when Okabe reset the timeline so that Kagrai did not have Kurisu's memories. In this new timeline though Reyes would brainwash Kagrai to kidnap her. She would then kill all of the Stratfor agents with her so that she could intact her plan to upload Kurisu's memories into Kagrai to obtain the time travel theory. She would later be confronted by Okabe and his friends where she revealed her plans to create to ultimate soldiers and use the time travel info to make her country into a superpower. She would then attempt to convince Okabe to join her side and help her with her plan although he would refuse causing Reyes to try to upload the memories into Kagrai. This would be halted however by the program refusing to works and Suzuha freeing Kagari. This would cause Reyes to attempt to upload Kurisu's memories into herself so that she could be the one conquer the world with the time travel theory. Daru would end up stopping the upload, causing Reyes mind to be implanted with a empty slate, turning her into a living corpse.
Gehenna's Stigma[]
In this timeline she is briefly scene talking with Leskinen on how to get the information on time travel out of Okabe. While she is not scene for the rest of the route it can be assumed that she succeeded in her plan to create the ultimate soldiers and ends up being a major factor in WWIII.
Personality[]
While Reye's would appear at first to be a friendly and upbeat woman her true personality would turn out to be much more sinister. She is in reality a ruthless and sadistic agent of DURPA who immensely enjoyed destroying the mind of her victims. She is also shown to be quite arrogant believing she alone deserved to have the time travel theory. While she worked with Leskinen she showed no remorse in betraying him for her own goals. While she claimed to be loyal to her country and that only they knew what was best she in reality just enjoyed the power they gave her and did not hesitate to attempt to claim the Time Travel theory for her sake not her countries so she could rule Time. She is shown to also be quite wrathful when things don't go her way like when the Amadeus Ai got deleted and she attempted to murder Maho in a fit of anger.
