Jules is one of the secondary antagonists of the Vampire Diaries franchise. She was a major antagonist in The Vampire Diaries, being the secondary antagonist of season 2. She is a Young lycanthrope who aims to get the moonstone and help Tyler Lockwood adapt as a lycanthrope, killing anyone to get his goal.
She was portrayed by Michaela McManus
Biography[]
Season 2[]
Jules visits Tyler to find Mason, a friend of hers, but Tyler says that he is back in Florida. Jules confronts Damon and finds out that he is a vampire, and after the confrontation, she tells Damon that he is "marked". A wolf then tries to attack Damon, but Rose gets in the way and is bitten instead of her. Jules calls someone after leaving Lockwood House to report that there is another werewolf, Tyler. It is later revealed that she leads the werewolf pack that she and Mason belonged to, along with her boyfriend Brady.
Jules shows his sociopathic side by killing an innocent ranger to cover up his other werewolf kills. He also taunts Damon and lies to Tyler about who killed Mason. Also, Jules reveals his knowledge of vampires and werewolves and heralds the arrival of more werewolves in Mystic Falls. She assures Tyler that she just wants to be friends with her, as she believes that Mason would have wanted it that way.
Jules takes Caroline hostage and brings several werewolves to confront the Salvatore brothers. The werewolves gain the upper hand until Jonas magically subdues them and gives them a warning. Jules and his pack of werewolves torture Damon, but Elijah stops them, killing everyone except Jules. Tyler unknowingly informs Jules and Brady of the location of the moonstone. Brady is killed by Stefan after trying to kidnap Elena, and later, Jules and Tyler leave town.
Jules returns to Mystic Falls and Tyler visits his injured mother as part of a plan to capture him and break the curse. Jules tries to get Tyler out of town, but is captured by Maddox along with Caroline. Damon and Matt save them and Damon reveals to Klaus what happened. Klaus shows Damon a video recording of Jules turning into a werewolf while she was chained up.
Jules is brought to the sacrifice site by Greta with a spell that renders her partially incapacitated. She is the first to be sacrificed by Klaus, but before she dies, she tells Elena that everything she did was for Tyler. Jules attacks Klaus before being overpowered and killed. Klaus uses her blood to complete the ritual of the curse and break it.
Personality[]
Jules was a brave and arrogant werewolf who was initially confident in her ability to control her wolf form after the full moon. However, her plan backfired and she killed innocents in her bid for revenge against Damon. She was selfish and willing to lie to benefit herself and her pack, even attempting to kidnap and kill Elena to break the sun and moon curse. Despite all of this, she was loyal to her own species and spent a lot of time helping Tyler. In her last moments, she told Elena that everything she did was for Tyler.
