Biography[]
Past[]
Go Tamaki was originally an introverted high school who was interested in trading card games and had difficulty making friends, with one of his few friends being a fellow classmate named Yosuke. Yosuke played trading cards with Go and would encourage him to smile, leading Go to give him a rare trading card he had collected as a token of thanks. However, Yosuke was intimidated by some delinquents into tearing the card in half in front of Go, causing him to fall into despair.
Go would later find his way to the Deadmans, where he met Aguilera and quickly became loyal to her after she encouraged him to smile. Taking the name "Julio", Go later at some point merged with his inner demon to become a Phase 2 Deadman and further leveled up into a "Gifftex" after being selected by Giff.
Finding more Gifftexes[]
Julio is first seen holding a rally alongside Olteca in the Deadmans Base while Aguilera creates Giff Juniors from the Deadmans' human followers. He later led an attack to capture a captured convict named Harada and brought him back to the Deadmans base, where he and Olteca presented him to Aguilera for her create a special Deadman from. Pleased with the offering, Aguilera used him to summon the Mammoth Deadman. Julio would then take part in the Deadmans' assault on Fenix, in which they unleashed the Mammoth Deadman to wreak havoc. While the Mammoth Deadman terrorized people, Aguilera used a news camera to announce the Deadmans' goals to the world before leaving with Olteca and Julio.
When the professional golfer Araki approached the Deadmans asking for a Vistamp, Julio was present when Olteca presented him to Aguilera.
As Olteca informed Aguilera that they would soon create enough sacrificial Deadmen to revive Giff, Julio walked in to the room to inform that another volunteer had come to them asking to receive a Vistamp, proclaiming that they would soon be able to take Revice's Vistamps. The volunteer was a woman in a mysterious hood, who used the Vistamp to bring forth the Kong Deadman. At the same time the Kong Deadman rampaged, a man hired by the Deadmans took Sakura Igarashi and her friend Ayaka hostage. When Kamen Rider Revi and Vice went to rescue them and fought the Deadman, Julio appeared in his Deadman form and told Revi he would be happy to exchange his sister for all the Vistamps he had collected. Revi refused but his brother Daiji agreed to it and handed over one of the new Vistamps Fenix had developed, only for Julio to mock Daiji for believing him and swat him aside. However, Sakura managed to defeat the kidnapper with her karate expertise and free herself while Revi and Vice destroyed the Kong Deadman.
When Aguilera visited the idol of Giff and vowed to free him, Julio attempted to cheer her up and tell her to smile, only for Aguilera to instead voice her irritation at the Deadmans' progress and questioned how they were doing on the 6 sacrifices to use to revive Giff. Olteca then responded that they were still taking time, and that not everyone had the potential to become a Giftex Deadmen like he and Julio, leading Julio to comment that a human being able to produce a Deadman was expressive enough and that most could only manage a Giff Junior. This prompted Olteca to state that once a human had summoned a Deadman from within them, they would need to merge with it to become a Phase 2 Deadman and be eligible for the sacrifice.
After Olteca proposed the Deadmans target Revice's "Achilles' heel", Julio went undercover as a human and attended the karate class Ikki's sister Sakura was a part of. There he met Sakura and helped her train in order to get closer to her. When Sakura stated that karate was the one place that she felt she could "let loose" however, Julio began to take an interest in the karate class.
Julio and the other Deadmans executives later operated a hotel that the Igarashi family were staying at to celebrate Yukimi's recovery. After Aguilera's attempt to poison Ikki was thwarted by Kagero, Julio then giddily asked Aguilera if she had tried to poison Ikki while Olteca voiced his reservations for the plan and pointed out that it violated the deal they had made with Kagero. It was at that point that Evil appeared and grabbed Aguilera by the neck before warning her not to make a move like that on Ikki again, as Ikki was his to kill. Aguilera then ran off, followed by her two subordinates. Julio told Aguilera to smile, but Aguilera slapped him away. Olteca then suggested that they watch tomorrow's proceedings from afar. The next day, Aguilera and her two henchmen were present when Kagero made his move. After Kagero hit Ikki to the ground, the three revealed themselves as the Deadmans and watched as Kagero became Evil to fight Ikki as Revi. When Hiromi became Demons and tried to intervene, Olteca and Julio assumed their Deadmen forms to hold him off and give Revi and Evil a chance to fight.
As Aguilera complained that it was taking too long to revive Giff, Olteca walked in, followed by a second Olteca, and told her it wouldn't be much longer. The second Olteca then revealed itself as the Chameleon Deadman and revealed it was in the process of transitioning into a Giftex. Aguilera however complained that even with him and Amahiko they only had four, but the Chameleon Deadman assured her that they would have others soon, and that a longstanding plan they had would be coming into play shortly. Olteca then revealed to her that they planned to free the lawyer, Yasushi Kudo, who still displayed a high aptitude for demons despite undergoing rehab. Aguilera then left with the other Deadmans to attack Skybase. While spawned a number of Giff Juniors to distract the Fenix Riders, Olteca and Julio led an attack on Skybase as it was landed. However, Ikki, Daiji and Sakura quickly figured out what the Deadmans' target was and went to protect Skybase. They were met by Olteca and Julio in their Deadmans forms, who held them off while Haitani snuck inside Skybase and freed Kudo. The Daiouika and Wolf Deadmen fought back the Riders and beat down Live, causing Kagero to reemerge and take control of Daiji to become Kamen Rider Evil again. However, after Ikki unlocked the Barid Rex Vistamp, he used it to become Kamen Rider Revi Barid Rex and beat back the two Deadmans executives. Aguilera then approached the pair and told them they had freed Kudo and could leave now.
With Kudo freed and Haitani having obtained a Phase 2 form for his Vistamp, Aguilera told Olteca and Julio to filter them through Giff so they could be approved as sacrifices. This prompted Kudo to ask what "filtering" meant, to which Olteca revealed that Giff would have to deem him and Haitani worthy for them to become Giftex, and that if he found them not worthy they would be disintegrated. While Haitani was unnerved to hear this, Kudo stated he was fine being a sacrifice but that he had a score to settle first. Olteca then tossed Kudo the Sabertiger Vistamp that he could use to become a Phase 2 Deadman and go after Ikki. Aguilera told Kudo and the others that they were permitted to do whatever they wanted until the wedding ceremony was ready and went behind a changing wall to change into her wedding dress. Julio then also spoke up and pushed Haitani to go after Sakura as well. Aguilera then stated she hoped Sakura would be the next sacrifice to revive Giff, but Olteca told her that he already had someone in mind and that he was currently working on retrieving a crucial item. After Kudo was beaten by Revi Barid Rex, Olteca picked up his body and brought him back to the Deadmans base. The three Giftex candidates were all put through Giff, who confirmed them all as Giftex. Aguilera then stated that they only had to find one more to sacrifice to Giff, but Olteca revealed to her that they already had a sixth sacrifice - Aguilera herself.
Upon learning this revelation, Julio immediately tried to attack Olteca, but was blocked by Haitani and Kudo in their Deadman forms. Chameleon then knocked Aguilera out so she could be tied to a chair in preparation for her sacrifice. When she awoke however, she willingly agreed to go along with the ritual if it meant reviving Giff. Hearing this, Julio reluctantly agreed to go along with the ritual and joined the other Gifftex Deadman in assuming their Deadman forms and circling around Aguilera. As the ritual began however, the Deadmans Base was stormed by Fenix who attempted to stop the ritual. Julio then took the chance to try and free Aguilera from the chair, but Olteca swiftly knocked him out of his Deadman form with the Daiouika Deadman's tentacles before joining his fellow Gifftex in engaging the Kamen Riders in battle. Olteca was beaten back by Kamen Rider Live, who went on to join his siblings and Vice in fighting. The Kamen Riders destroyed the Planarian and Sabertiger Deadman, but both were absorbed into Giff to complete the ritual. As Giff's return drew near, the Deadmans base rose up with Aguilera and Julio still inside it and began attacking the city while Revi and Vice went to go rescue Aguilera and stop the ritual. Revi and Vice undid Aguilera's restraints, with Vice carrying her and an unconscious Julio out of the base while Revi Barid Rex destroyed the base with his finisher. Aguilera then became hysterical over the loss of her lover and Julio tried to comfort her, while Olteca simply stood back and observed the scene.
Julio was pried from Aguilera by a group of Fenix soldiers who attempted to apprehend them both. When Olteca revealed Aguiler was just a puppet the Deadmans used to rally people around, Julio became furious and tried to attack him, only to be beaten down by Olteca and the Chameleon Deadman. The Queen Bee Proto Vistamp was knocked from him, which Aguilera picked up and used to become the Queen Bee Deadman before furiously attacking Revi and Vice while Olteca and Chameleon made their escape from the scene. She was held back by Julio, causing her to opt to teleport away with him instead. At an abandoned warehouse, Aguilera tried transforming into the Queen Bee Deadman again. before holding up a water bottle to drink from it. Julio then arrived and tried to cheer Aguilera up by telling her to smile, but Aguilera threw her water bottle at him instead. Julio then handed Aguilera a box containing her original dress, for if she wanted to change out of her wedding dress, and told her that both it and Giff had the survived the destruction of the Deadmans Base. Aguilera then stated they needed to retrieve Giff from Fenix, to which Julio told her they would need more than two people to do that. Aguilera paid little mind to that however and told Julio to go away while she changed back into her original dress.
Leaving the Deadmans[]
Julio would meet again with Aguilera on a rooftop, where he revealed his past to her before he joined the Deadmans. Upon hearing that Julio had been betrayed by someone he thought was a close friend, Aguilera remarked that the two were alike now as she had been betrayed by Olteca. Julio later intervened in a fight between the Fenix Riders and the Deadmans. He attacked Olteca, seeking revenge on him for "betraying" Aguilera, but the Daiouika Deadman swatted him away.
Soon after, Julio met with Sakura while she was visiting her older brother in the hospital. He told her of his intentions to kill Olteca, and asked her to protect Aguilera for him in the event he died while doing so. Sakura agreed to Julio's deal, on the condition he meet with someone first. Sakura then led him to where Yosuke was, so Yosuke could apologize to him and the two could reconcile. Yosuke apologized to Julio for tearing up his card and not coming to say goodbye to him as he was moving. Julio then remembered seeing Yosuke being bullied by delinquents at the time he was supposed to move and realized that he had been the "traitor" to his friend. Before he could accept his apology however, Olteca appeared and stamped Yosuke with the Giff Stamp, causing him to become possessed by a Gifftarian. Falling into despair, Julio transformed into Wolf Deadman Riot Form and attacked Olteca, who tranformed into the Daiouika Deadman before fleeing the scene. The Riot Wolf Deadman then went on a rampage looking for Olteca, encountering and fighting Kamen Riders Live and Jeanne in the process. After the Riot Wolf Deadman fought Live and Jeanne off, Ikki appeared and transformed himself and Vice into Kamen Rider Revice Volcano Rex. Revi and Vice Volcano Rex were able to defeat the Riot Deadman and purify Julio with a Rider Kick, freeing him from the Deadman's influence. Olteca then launched another attack at Julio, but Aguilera as the Queen Bee Deadman appeared and created a shield around Julio to protect him. Aguilera then detransformed and told Julio to "smile" while Julio cried over the death of his best friend. Julio would then leave with Aguilera after she teleported them both away.
Julio would later approach Sakura while she was at her karate class and lead her to a warehouse where Aguilera was waiting for her.
After Aguilera rejected Sakura's offer to be separated from her demon and left, she scolded Julio and choked him for telling Sakura what her location was. Julio was later present with Aguilera when the two were approached by Ikki and Sakura, who offered to team up with them to stop Olteca. Julio would watch Revi, Vice and Aguilera as the Queen Bee Deadman battle the Daiouika Deadman for the Giff Stamp.
Personality[]
Julio is a very impassioned man, fanatically and fiercely devoted to both the Deadmans and Aguilera personally. He believes the Deadmans bring people true happiness and is constantly encouraging those around him, particularly his boss Aguilera, to smile - though he is often met by a slap from Aguilera whenever he says it to her. Prior to joining the Deadmans, Julio was very shy and introverted. Because he was betrayed by his only friend Yosuke, who tore his rare trading card, Julio has a fierce hatred of traitors and reacts violently towards them. He appears to have difficulty socializing, even after joining the Deadmans and becoming more extroverted, and when disguised as a regular civilian he tends to revert to his shy persona.
