Junichi Shimura is the true identity of the Albino Joker, a Category Joker Undead which emerged after the previous Joker, Hajime Aikawa, was sealed, and the main antagonist of the Tokusatsu movie Kamen Rider Blade: Missing Ace.
In his human guise, Shimura uses the Glaive Buckle to transform into Kamen Rider Glaive and leads the Ace Riders in fighting the Undead.
He was portrayed by Yuuki Kuroda.
Biography[]
After Kazuma Kenzaki made his decision to seal Hajime Aikawa, the Joker Undead, the Albino Joker emerged onto the scene. After Assuming the human form of Junichi Shimura and making him a decoy of himself, the Albino Joker was found by the BOARD corporation, due to Junichi's appearance and abilities, he was quick to be noted as a prodigy by the people who worked on that organization and was invited to join BOARD and in return, he received the Glaive Buckle from them to become Kamen Rider Glaive, being one of the three to receive a new Ace Rider Buckle alongside Natsumi Miwa and Shin Magaki. After rising to become leader of the Ace Riders, Shimura used his position to put his own plans in motion to become the ultimate Undead by summoning his "master" and "savior" Jashin-14.
Shimura's first move was to murder Kei Karasuma, president of BOARD, and steal all of the Rouze Cards so he could release all the Undead once more, necessitating Shimura and his subordinates, Kamen Riders L'arc and Lance, to go out and hunt them. Once the Undead were re-sealed, Shimura betrayed and murdered Natsumi and Shin before assuming Shin's identity in order to get close to Amane Kurihara and Kenzaki, the two final pieces needed for his plan. Amane's father had made contact with Jashin-14 and thus, because she shared blood with him, Shimura required her for the unsealing ceremony. Eventually, Kenzaki just as of now starts to suspect about Shimura as he directly reveals multiple things to him in private that are unheard by the watchers, altering Kenzaki in a huge manner meanwhile Shimura disappeared from the shadows.
The Riders quickly realized that the Albino Joker was pretending to be Shin and attempted to escort Amane to safety while fighting off Shimura. Kenzaki also unsealed Hajime to help them, but his power as the Joker Undead was drained from being sealed and thus was not enough to stop the Albino Joker. After overpowering and swatting aside the Joker Undead, Shimura reached Amane and sealed her inside the Vanity Card, created from the Category King cards, and inserts it into an ancient tablet to summon Jashin-14. With the beast unsealed, the Albino Joker fuses with it to obtain ultimate power and attempts to kill the Riders. However, Hajime manages to rescue Amane by trading places with her within Jashin-14. With encouragement from Hajime, Blade destroys the ancient tablet and weakens the monster before finishing the Albino Joker and Jashin-14 off with his Royal Straightflash finisher.
Personality[]
While Junichi presents himself as a Polite and Well-meaning young man, this is only to hide the depths that are found beneath him. In reality, he is nothing more than a calculative and ruthless person, who's established goal shall bring destruction and doom towards humanity in general (or at least that was what BOARD ended up suggesting), despite seemingly caring for Shin and Miwa, this was just because he considered them as perfect pawns for his plans and eventually, once they were of no use for him, he disposed of them, just like how "Jashin-14" was going to dispose of him and other undeads. Glaive also considers himself as the only with the "truth" of the Undeads, claiming himself as the one savior of the war.
Although, despite this, Junichi did show some redeeming qualities in Kamen Rider Decade, such as caring for his older brother Daiki and refusing to finish him off because of this, it could also be said that he did care about Shin and Miwa this time, due to how close he was to them before being made into a decoy for Jashin to "use", although it was eventually revealed that Junichi did this on purpose.

- The presence of a second Joker Undead is likely a reference to the fact that a typical card deck comes with two Joker cards, one fully in color and the other in black and white.
